I agree the biblical calendar makes so much more sense because if we are walking in Torah and are keeping the Appointed Times given in scripture it is to help us know when to do them like Shabbat is to be observed on the 7th day not the first day of the week you can plainly see it in the Commandments and we are took keep if we want to be blessed. The wonderful thing is it is the only commandment with our Heavenly Father’s Blessing in the 10 Commandments. The head of the year is explained in Exodus 12:1-2. In the Bible, Aviv is the first month of the year and is associated with the spring season: Name: The Hebrew word Aviv means "spring" or "barley ripening". Season: Aviv refers to the three-month spring season. Observances: The month of Aviv is when Israel celebrated Passover, commemorating the night God brought them out of Egypt. Barley: The month of Aviv begins after the barley has reached the stage of Aviv, and is ready to be harvested 2-3 weeks later.

We must be intentional on seeking what our Heavenly Father is asking us to do which is to seek the Ancient paths. The scripture that mentions ancient paths is Jeremiah 6:16, which says, "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls". We must be obedient to His will because our Heavenly Father wants us to not just listen or read scripture but to do what He tells us to do. If we love Him we will obey His commands. John 14:15. We must let the scriptures be the light and foundation to lead us into the path of righteousness and In Psalm 119:105, the psalmist declares, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Proverbs 3:6- Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. The Biblical New Year is in the spring- absolutely! Makes so much more sense! But just like we have starts to the year, the school year, the financial year (for accounting purposes), there can certainly be many years! I certainly hold no special anything to "New Years" other than a calendar change and a time of winter's beginning to draw in and soak up all the blessings of the winter months. Especially a time of renewal and rest! :)

So sorry about your apartment. I’d love to hear Heidi’s response. To me, the only way to explain it is that we live in a fallen world and our God is with us through the trials, using them for our good (ie strengthening & maturing us) & for His glory. Trials stink but He can bring good things out of them. 🥰
