Great video. Helped me out when the screw didn't snap in the middle hole. Reversed it out and put it back in using the taller hole, then snapped it off as you instructed, rocking it back and forth. Only problem is, the screws don't work so well. The squeak was still there, so I had to use about 4 screws to get rid of one small squeak about 80%. It still has a small 20% squeak noise as compared to before when walking on it. And worse, using this method, the floor started a new squeak about a foot away that wasn't there before. So I don't think I'll be using these screws again. But your video was spot on, so thanks for showing it so still (I hate videos that move the camera all over the place) and so detailed!

Hi Jay, did you you ever find out if you had a sleeper floor? Thanks so much for commenting.

seems like it should be made of metal for that last part.

The purpose of that piece being made of nylon/plastic is so it wont mark the floor.
