This video is dedicated to Renae Bopray.
Late night typo at the end of the video where I list the colors and ingredients: Colors are Primary Elements ColourArte pigments in Payne's Gray, and Golden Fluid Acrylics in teal and iridescent gold. Also, I also used Artists Loft Professional Series Carbon Black as one of my cell activator colors--ratio is the same. My bad. Video is by multiple requests to recreate a bloom technique with gold edges (shown at the beginning of the video). I failed miserably but still created two lovely bloom paintings and a very interesting flip and lip painting using only house paint and cell activator colors.
I ended up cutting out 15 minutes of video where I tried various layering of the blue and gold and they all failed, so I spliced the video to show you my do-or-die flip cup at the end that turned out really well. Enjoy the video!!

You couldn't have made the last flip-cup look more like a beach scene. I've seen people painstakingly do the beach scene and it not be that nice. Wow you need to remember this one for sure. It's really neat that in trying to replicate one pour, you invent another cool pour.

Sometimes it happens when you experiment, you got a totally organic beach scene with the flip cup, it's incredible,! Your breathing video helped me so much with my blooms. And the Golden gold with your American cell activator recipe is perfection. I'm still waiting for delivery of the Australian floetrol, they lost the first package. I'm sorry for your loss of your friend. We develop a friendship with each other, no matter if we meet in person or just on social media. I’m so sorry Karen, friends are precious people that we can’t always hold as close as we want to. Since moving from Chicago to Virginia, I miss my friends terribly and illness has prevented me from traveling even before 2020. It would be so helpful to have the ingredients in the description box to screenshot with the final blooms: Base/Pillow, CA, PM mix, etc. In my opinion, some of the prettiest parts are in what spins off the tiles. I love to put a silicone mat under small tiles or canvases to have the skins for additional pieces. For example: Dragonfly or butterfly wings could be cut out of the remains of the first one. I have also glued together 1 small board canvas and 1 larger one so the part that spins off is maintained as part of the artwork. It's too pretty to waste! Just some thoughts. Everything is beautiful. I love them!

This is an old video-the last 100 or so have the recipe in the description box. Because I paint on my kitchen, I have to clean up and can’t leave a silicon mat out to dry so I scrape and recycle the paint instead. Love the dragonfly idea though!

I’m more confused than ever about different pouring mediums . I’m in Australia, we have Floetrol but not Elmers Glue All or polycrylic varnish . I’ve yet to achieve lacing or large cells , but I just Love watching you make the most beautiful art with such humour and warmth .

I am so sorry about your friend and I truly know how you feel. I am at five and half years fighting breast cancer and my Mother’s genetic heart valve disease. Just before Christmas I lost my baby brother to heart and 3 days before his funeral my gorgeous nephew to cancer. I know I am losing more but I don’t know if I can come through them. I don’t function anymore, I just paint. Sending prayers. ❤️
