Nice meter very responsive. It’s strange seeing a meter with such a very bright colour display. Thanks for sharing regards Chris

Thank you Chris! Yes the smaller one is even brighter.. Thank you for watching..

That is a very nice looking budget meter. I could not be sure but it looks like when they moved the input connectors they also changed the connector spacing to standard 19.06 mm (0.75 inch) spacing. Thank you for sharing it with us. Regards, David

Hi, David, good question.. i just checked and the spacing is still standard, my banana-bnc still fits smooth.

Thanks. This is also rebranded by the cheaper Habotech as HT126B for colored screen and GDA128. The Kaiweets KM601 it's big brother is rebranded as the Habotech HT116, I'm not sure what it's called with rebranded GDA. I'd like the not Smart, rotary dial types, like the one from Zotek ZT-980 or the HT118E, the old school design which I've used since forever but it's already the 21st century and it's time for colors I think unless these Smart ones are watered down in what they can measures (the range is so important) and functions. Which of these two smart multimeter can measure every small value SMDs (like 0.05pF a millimeter in length) and big capacitors, resistors, inductors, transistors and all subcomponents for all my household electronics and electricals (common to the average household): PC power supplies, LCD and PC CRTs, motherboards and GPUs, retro video game consoles (until the 80's) and new video games consoles, Wacom tablets (which has a lot of small SMD subcomponents), toys, a bit of measurement for the outlet and fuse box for the main house power? Thank you. God bless, Rev. 21:4

@@TonyAlbus Hello Tony Albus channel friends. Could you use Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAA batteries for these amazing KM601 and its little "brother" ST600Y multimeters? Also could you use rechargeable lithium batteries like VapCell 1.5v AAA for this? Thank you. God bless, stay safe.

Nice one Tony, that helped me decide what type is best for my use. I love the small form factor and it's readability. I need to keep my tool kit small as possible ✈ Accuracy is within specs for trouble shooting.

That's a pretty looking meter Tony, I may have to look into getting one for the transistorised stuff I repair
@TonyAlbus2 жыл бұрын
For cheap stuff its fairly good, i am not a big fan of the auto/smart meters. you could have a look at Brymen. its the Red fluke. mostly better specs and less expensive. But kaiweets gives you a complete set. it comes with probs and a temp prob and batterys and a protective casing... that is a lot of stuff for your money

I just picked up a 600Y and yes do like it but one issue I am having is that occasionally as I attempt to read a DC voltage, it automatically assumes I'm interested in readying the noise at that node and gives me an RMS AC voltage ( typically in millivolts) instead. Is there any way to force it to Read VDC when it's seems to prefer auto switching to read AC?

Press the FUNC or SEL button to change the setting manualy.

Thanks for the review..I just got my ST600Y..I am not really sure what the H hold button is for
@TonyAlbus2 жыл бұрын
Hi Wayne, i do not have the meter anymore, but if it is HOLD like normal, it is used for when you probe and can not see the display... you probe, press hold, you can resease the probes.. .. then the probed value stays on the display so you can read it later.

The ST600X is less accurate that the older model HT112B. My Fluke 117 comes close to HT112B and hence happy with HT112B, not sure if its a calibration issue on the ST600X.

For you this on hands is one faster in reading than the other and or more precise in measurements, I saw some km601 had 6battries or that prob was a fake one ? Is there I real difference in display and led flash light ? For the cat spec what’s that term ac right ?
@TonyAlbus2 жыл бұрын
The KM601 has 9999 counts the ST600Y has 6000 Counts. the display of the ST600Y i found better and the read is faster. The KM601 did hav 6 batteries, but is uses only 3 if i remember correct. information about CAT you can find on google, KZbin does not allow me to share external links in the comments.
