everyone's saying that billy is too self-righteous but i actually think they're perfect for each other . billy is a vicar - he is educated and compassionate and perhaps a little too pure and dignified . paul is an ex-criminal trying to get back on track , and a man trying to handle a terrible thing that's haunting him , as well as just a very interesting , though admittedly morally grey person . put them togethed , and you've got a perfect couple . i want to remind y'all that this is a soap - things happen very slowly . billy and paul haven't even properly dated yet , they're just starting to have that influence on each other . the farther we go , the more they will change for the better because of each other . they are truly perfect for pulling each other a little to the other side . billy's morality will become a little less binary thanks to paul and paul's will become a little less vague thanks to billy . they complete each other in a lot of great ways and i think they truly have a lot of potential .

alienbiarcher Very good comment tho I dont like Paul for Billy. Billy deserves better and a normal life. And most of all he deserves to be loved. For real.. That somebody love him like crazy and not be the one who is always chasing for little love.

For once, I like Paul ... at the beginning when he was "Introduced", when he was in prison, I didn't like it so much, not even when, the storyline explained what had happened to him as a child, I didn't like how he managed the thing ... but really, I think David finally has a good friend.

Thunder Aracnide I like paul. Its billy that needs to go. Too nosy and self righteous. Paul and billy don't have any chemistry anyway. Wish they would give him a more interesting boyfriend than billy.

@@dannynix4546 Billy is like that, especially from the post storyline when Todd brakeup with him, who he still haven't forgotten ... But Paul wanted to run away from his problems, which though heavy, as he told Billy, could tell his mother and sister , as the mother is a horrible person. The storyline should have taken that path. If the mother had not even believed him, Gemma, in my opinion, would have been next to him, even if now she has to do with the twins. Billy has always tried to help him, even when Paul, frankly, was unbearable ... Billy is ultimately a good person, always trying to do the right thing, even if he sometimes uses the wrong tactic ... as with Josh for example ... He is convinced that Josh, a serial rapist can change, but we have seen, as he has "changed" since, thank God, dear good old David beat him to death, making him blind ... For me, Billy and Paul could have a good story, if Paul faced his problems head-on, as he confronted Josh for David.

Thunder Aracnide you just explained all the reasons I hate billy. He is too in peoples business. To be fair all the gay male characters on this show are written awful for some reason. Todd Marcus billy Sean and that footballer james. Paul is the only one that doesn't annoy me.

@@dannynix4546 It's true that he deserves better than Billy, Billy as a boyfriend sucks, before he was with Sean, who cheated on Todd, then Todd dumped him to escape, no one knows where or not to return. But in my opinion Paul has a weak character. Even in the first scenes in prison, it never seemed to me like one with a strong character, as he wants to leave it. In addition, in my opinion, he went to Josh to change his testimony, only for two reasons: When he was in jail in the cell with David, David was the only kind one with him ... despite the sudden beginning. Second reason What Josh did to David reminds him of what happened to him. Anyway, at least initially I didn't realize that Paul was gay, until he kissed Billy ... maybe I just followed the facts of when David was in jail, for having beaten Josh to blood ... but for as far as I'm concerned when Paul was in prison it was worse than Billy as a character ... He got on my nerves just to hear him talk to David. But now I'm starting to appreciate part of him ... (not all because he still bores me with his character!)

Billy's upset because Paul was able to do what he couldn't do. Get Josh to admit the truth. My Late Grandmother used to have a saying "Tell The Truth & Shame The Devil". Also on a lot of Soaps Vicars/Priests act all pious and self righteous but they are far from saints themselves. Billy should remember his own sordid past being responsible for the Death of Susan Barlow Baldwin. On Guiding Light (US) Father Ray Santos betrayed a Confidence, didn't tell the truth about his Brother's Fiance losing the baby. The best thing is that David is back home where he belongs and maybe Max will behave himself.

I think he was more upset by the fact that Paul could have ended up in a cell if Josh decided to tell on him. Not only would he have lost Paul, but it would have been curtains for David as well. What Paul did was badass but it was also extremely risky and I think Billy had a right to be upset about it.
