We are lucky as a nation to have a filmmaker like him....50 years from now, he will be remembered in the list of Kubrick,Bergman,kurosawa, Hitchcock,Fellini
@schrodingerzcat13 Жыл бұрын
Definitely great but he’s not going to make that list if he makes films like dobaara
@aumarifa Жыл бұрын
@@schrodingerzcat13 Come on, man. Let's forget that film. He has much in his discography to dominate one or two bad films. On a personal note, I think Bombay Velvet had massive potential but got eaten up around the marketing and commerce. A film connoisseur making noire is literally the most perfect thing that can exist, no idea why Bombay velvet is never in film conversations. KK and Ranbir had great performances, Amit Trivedi took us back to the 50s - Jazz and Blue influences, with Mikey McCleary's brilliant rearrangement of Geeta Dutt's "Jata kaha hai deewane". The sets and locations too were totally French inspired. A satisfactory film altogether. Of course, not his best but not a failure.

After watching so many of Anurag's interviews on KZbin - most of the questions asked here feel repeated. I know it's hard to know what questions been asked before but I think you can always send questions beforehand and let him choose the questions he wants to answer that he feels have not been asked before.

This was such an insightful conversation, thank you to the team for uploading it. Also, much love to the host, we only got those answers from him cause she asked him those questions. I really do love this organic way of interviewing versus those well crafted, well voice modulated emcee's asking questions (which are also good) but this is a different vibe, more film festival zone and not a tv show.

@amusingwordplay72982 жыл бұрын
Because it hasn't been shot in a studio. Live screening/theatre interview usually look like this. As the camera cannot be fixed in one place. Frames keep changing. The audio also has to audible to a theatre full of audience and recorded as well.

What was that malarkey about a Hindu guru planning a nuclear attack on Mumbai? It doesn't make any sense. At all. I hope he learns something from films like Nayattu. These films do not take a side. That's how all nuanced cinema really is. Anurag stopped being relevant a few years ago.
