really nice to see someone with a big brain playing dev. i'm in top 200 devs rn at 3170 (not that hard cause.. who is playing it?) and i really want to start pushing in the 26-28 region but i'm getting kicked EVERY time for not being aug. thanks for instilling some hope and these videos are great, keep them coming!! never seen the fire breath before dragonrage in aoe but it makes complete sense! im usually second or third dps but i think once i've learnt enough here i can show those dhs and rets who's boss :DD don't succumb to making aug videos though they have enough of those :D thanks for these man!!

So I always have to adjust my talents if I want to do AoE or single target dmg? When do I know that I should change talents? and is there a simplified version of the rotation somewhere? Sorry if you already explained it in the video, but my English isn't that good... I can usually only understand something like that if it's simplified somewhere and how much % should i have fot stats right now i have 25% crit 21% haste 42% mastery my Gs is 480

Maybe a random question, but why are you using fire breath before dragon rage at 36:55? Doesnt that just lose you dragon rage uptime?

watch the unique talent interaction part of the video, but basically, FB gives us irid red and the 3 pyres on dragonrage cast can consume 1 stack and become giga powerful! in aoe, DR is very easy to maintain, so the damage gain is very worth it!

As a main Augvoker I sometimes switch it up to Devo. I can never get decent dps out of Devo, but I'd love to be able to. Thanks for the vids, they are quite good at explaining the interactions of the talents and spells which will help me get more out of my Devoker

your stats could always be a factor in this? i noticed a MASSIVE difference in my dps depending on stats. if you're using mastery-stacked gear in dev you'll probably lose a lot of dps than using loads of crit/haste with some vers and some mast

@@liamdavies2823 yeah. I have managed to scrounge together some gear for devo spec. Without any consumables on, my mastery is 9500 in Aug and 5600 in devo. I'm still carrying a couple of high mastery pieces on my devo spec. My biggest problem though is finessing my rotation and maximising uptime on everything

I think of having 2x Volatility + Charged blast. What talent point can I drop for it? Burnout maybe? Do u think Font of magic is useless talent? I like fast empowers, but dont want to lose other good talents

not too worth it atm. we don't do enough blue damage in aoe to get value out of it. :)

Many specs getting buffs, but dev does not. It is fine in ur opinion or Blizzard just ignores evoker? In tier lists ppl rank devastation as one of the worst dps specs for mythic+ =(

We actually got 2 recent buffs. We're not fogotten :) And from my understanding, we get those rankings because aug is superior, so no one plays dev. More often than not, those tier lists represent popularity, not so much potential/viability. But I'm also curious with Spudgies answer ^^

hey! so, i def do not think dev has been ignored since aug’s inception. dev has consistently received buffs to keep it relevant in both raid and m+, and they gave us a really great mastery change before this tier began. i understand it’s easy to feel slighted when you share the same role (evoker dps) as aug. dev will become more and more relevant in m+ as they fine tune aug’s damage output and contributions. to address your tier list concerns, on the subcreation tier list, dev is listed as F tier. this isn’t because dev sucks or anything, it’s simply because most people will just play aug because it is objectively better in m+. dev’s tier list ranking is moreso due to low population size and overwhelming preference by the community for aug. dev is actually strong at the moment, and the stat priority changes have made us infinitely more viable since we stack a bunch of vers now. part of the reason i wanted to make videos was to show how powerful dev can be and that it is a great spec! community perception is the only thing keeping dev down.

KEKW that’s my gm. enhance is capped to 6 targets, unlike WW and Dev, so he is obviously going to look pretty mid in comparison. he was doing priority damage and CC most of the dungeon. def wasnt a buyer lmao

Sounds like one of those guys who makes excuses. Let me guess he calls out everyone else because he has a 13 button priority rotation and says everyone should warm up on a training dummy before raid. @enzytesham
