I think many Red Wing fans might disagree w/Bobby Orr being better than Mr. Hockey? But true story, i was Looking for my son to get a try out as a free agent. And actually called Bobby, who was acting as a scout. My goodness, he couldn't have been any nicer on the phone w/me. No airs about him, and we had a great conversation. The old tyme players were like that, very personable. When my son played as a captain at the Jr All star game, Gordie dropped the ceremonial puck. And after the game, we talked old tyme hocked for well over an hour. Those boy's were so mesmerized by how personable he was. I think Gordie would've talked to us all night long. But his wife Colleen & Marty were there, so we didn't wanna keep him more than the hour we were so blessed to share w/him about the old days. Such great memories🥰

One more reason for me to be glad he was fired. 30:57 Bobby Hull was left wing. 31:33 "Coffey would go to the outside, Bobby would go on the inside." Ahhh... that helps explains why Coffey didn't have the knee problems Orr had. That was nice to know.

@@pjpredhomme7699 You know, I keep hearing people say, "If only they had the arthroscopic knee surgery technology back then that they do now." But I looked online and the person who invented that technology was a Canadian! And it was first performed on a Toronto Argonaut in 1967! I wonder why he didn't do that. Same with knee replacement surgery. That was first done in 1968. Was it good enough by 1976 that he could've just done that? No more knee pains, no more worrying about his knees locking up. Sigh...
