The Hanseat was so well engineered that it served my country ( India) until 2010 when it was forcefully retired through a ban 😅‼️ The original 2 stroke twin petrol engine gave way to a Kirloskar agricultural single cylinder diesel motor retrofitment. I was pleasantly surprised to notice that some of the Hanseats in this exhibition also might have been powered by similar engines.

​@fredriklarsson8105how cute it was. More of a functional beauty. Its front fork housed everything from the engine, gearbox, steering, suspension, brakes‼️😅 & cabin complete with a floating gear selector 😂🤣. Miss it fondly.

The 3 wheeler Tempo was very popular in India in the 70s era. There are few expectations still in operation. They were very popularly referred as 'PIGS' due to their unusual sound.

Had a variety of nickname. Suvar or pig was one, yes but in some parts it was called Ganesh ji ( elephant God)😅

@@eckhartdietrich das müsste ein Krause Piccolo (Fa. Krause / Leipzig) gewesen sein. Leider ist die Haube über dem Vorderrad (sicherlich mangels eines heute nicht mehr erhältlichen Ersatzteiles) abgesägt worden. Für das Piccolo wurde seinerzeit die vordere Haube vom 1. DDR-Motorroller Pitty (IFA Ludwigsfelde) verwendet. Das Piccolo ist hier im Film mit Schlechtwetterverdeck. Es war ein einsitziges Versehrtenfahrzeug mit Vollhandbedienung und einem Motor mit Zweiganggetriebe vom KR 50 Roller oder Simson SR 2. Ein Vorläufer späterer Krause-Duo Fahrzeuge des selben Herstellers.
