3:07 This is actually a shulker box im pretty sure, since you can't get coloured shulkers in survival. But a shulker box is also a Tile entity, which renders only in a certain radius.

You can get coloured shulkers boxes in survival, just open the crafting table put the shulker in and 1 of any colour dye

You cant get colored Shulker entities, you can get colored boxes
