The Kalalau Trail on the island of Kauai is considered one of the most dangerous trails in the world due to the hazardous cliffs the trail navigates. But hikers are rewarded with some of the most stunning trail and camping on the planet. This film covers a two week trip to Kauai full of hiking across the garden isle, highlighted by three nights and four days on the Kalalau Trail.
This video is part of my experimental style of ASMR syled videos that are intended to evoke the feeling and atmosphere of being in the world's most beautiful destinations. I find inspiration to make these videos from creators such as ‪@HarmenHoek‬ , ‪@kraigadams‬ , and ‪@MartijnDoolaard‬ (even though Martijn makes a very different style of video, I find his series to be incredibly inspirational). This is so beautiful one almost doesn’t see the dangers or difficulties in this hike. The green land, clear blue ocean & skyline w/ soft clouds. Just beauty w/ the rays of light you captured & mist of fog it’s a paradise. The sounds of water, brush as you walk & birds. It charms all my senses. I can feel, smell, hear, taste & see.

Those cliffs are no joke! It's actually quite a dangerous trail. But such a wonderful place.

The Nemo chair is the Moonlite Elite. It's great! (Although in this video I'm using the Helinox chair Zero)

This was right at the beginning of December. Kind of a quiet season in between holidays. There were other hikers out there but it was actually pretty quiet.

This was all shot on the Canon R5. Yep, I still use the Insta360 Ace Pro for some shooting, but the R5 is better for the cinematic stuff.
