I love how your 20th idea was my first: give your partner a chastity cage that only you can open, it's extra special and personal since there's no easy way to pick it unlike conventional equipment. The 27th use for amongus is probs the best. I'd not allow internal parts since you're not touching them, but if upcast and done as a melee spell attack I'd allow the sealed mouth, it's longer term silence. final option is the petty prank of locking a cup so fluid can't enter and it splashes the counter.

Yeah, plenty of shenanigans to be had if your DM is loose with "entryway" or the rules for Arcane Lock generally 😄

Wow, so many uses and none even close to the ones that I thought would be obvious. You need a package delivered to a particular individual, lock the package in a case and only the designated recipient can open it. This way, the courier doesn't even have to know the recipient that well, because the recipient opening the case demonstrates that they were the intended recipient. Or you could have special badges, that everybody in the organization is able to open. To demonstrate to a fellow member of the organization that they are legit members, they just open each other's badges. You could also have a winch or counterweight locked in place by this spell. And saying a word could thereby trigger the release of a large weight. Or a magic mouth could say the word that triggers the unlock. The unlock could be anything, releasing a monster, a flood, an Indiana Jones boulder. Arcane Lock could be the core of any riddle door you want. You can have a house rule that allows upcasting to boost the DC higher. And it is certainly reasonable to allow this spell to be cast as a ritual. Some compound actions are possible. Imagine an arcane lock in the ceiling, that isn't obvious, but it opens to release something nasty. Not normally a problem as it requires a password to open. A password a Magic Mouth will trigger if any unauthorized person attempts entry. Or if the more obvious door is hit with a Knock spell.

If you can set up the room have a trap door over the spot the enemy will enter, locked with arcane lock.. Shout the command word so the lock opens. Whatever you set up prior falls on them. Acid, snakes, rocks, an ooze... whatever you got.

If you are running a political intrigue campaign you can cast it on a tiny jewellery chest and assign all the people you want to be able to identify. Should someone infiltrate your inner circle using illusion magic you can find out by having them open the tiny chest.
