Taking place a few months after the events of the series finale (Graduation Day), Cyclops and the X-Men continue their fight against the Sentinels. Meanwhile, the anti-mutant group the Friends of Humanity (FOH) continue their attempts to rid the world of mutants. We later find out Magneto is the sole beneficiary to all of Professor X's belongings.
