Maybe $50k into the engine with the hugely inflated costs of these exotic specialists - but it's just a small block Mopar(evolved a little) with 2 extra cylinders. Prefix-Arrow(OEM painters of the Ford GT & GenV Vipers, builders of concept cars, real legit OEM-level company) is THE company that put together this 9.0l stroker package and who builds the engines, and that includes... block machining with sleeved cylinders Callies billet crank Callies forged rods Mahle pistons w/ rings bearings camshaft + springs CNC'd heads a custom tune(presumably ARP fasteners as well) ...$26k for this package alone - which isn't bad considering it's a $7000 billet crank & a sleeved block - and $30k for this package built by Prefix-Arrow(and, imagine that, only $2500 of that difference is for assembly which is VERY reasonable for a 2000+HP capable build - because Prefix isn't an "exotic specialist" of course). No "$50k easy" here - not unless the shop building the car is upcharging for someone else's work anyway... It's just [an evolved] small block Mopar with 2 extra cylinders, that's it. There's nothing 'special' about building these things, nothing more 'special' than any other engine. And, don't misunderstand, I certainly don't have a problem with these shops making their money - the market determines the cost of goods & services after all - but what I don't like is how so many things get completely misrepresented by some of these price tags. Without literally custom ordering parts for the sake of custom ordering them, these Prefix-Arrow stroker V10s are the baddest Viper V10s you can build. And anyone can order one for $30k with a core engine. The '05 Ford GT is a great example - how much does it cost to build one for 2000HP? No more than it costs to build a Mustang Cobra or GT500/any other Ford Modular V8 for 2000HP. Even if the "exotic specialist" that you take your Ford GT to is going to charge a LOT more than the shop you would take your Mustang to, for the same thing.

Those headlights are stickers. Also, it doesn't have side view mirrors which also makes it illegal on the street. Not to mention it is on slicks all the way around, and has 15'' drag rims on the back. The White Viper is on stock sized wheels. The Vipers are 100% street legal. I have only seen one GT-R that ran with the big boys that wasn't on 15'' wheels and slicks, and it was an ETS car.
