They are actually. They just placed a lot of twists in order to elevate the food. That beef with onions and calamansi sauce is what we call bistek tagalog here. Banana was a take on bananacue. The other beef dish was bulalo/nilagang baka. The only thing that confused me was the croissant. Probably a take on ensaymada. But i think that was more french than Filipino.

@@eris4331 that is the problem. Why does the food need to be elevated? Apparently filipino food needs to be put on a square plate and served with caviar--"elevated" to be rated.
