I participated a collaboration a while ago where we used the sinker in order to achieve a natural flower look 🌸 we were one of the first using this technique 😍

Put it back in mold and top with color for background, test with color paper rounds first

I really like the effect of the center and the really small petals, very pretty! I've been experimenting with leaving the first pour in the mold and doing a second pour using clear resin and green opaque resin to create green leaves. It looks great but unfortunately I'm a beginner and I haven't mastered the flowers or the petri effect yet 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you don't mind my asking, have you ever had alcohol inks not react and move within your resin? I don't know if it's me doing something wrong or if it's my alcohol inks. I add like you do but they don't move at all, they just sit there like a dark blob.

It’s probably the brand of alcohol inks your using. Maybe try to add some 99% or 91% alcohol to your inks. The more alcohol the larger they will spread so don’t add too much. Good luck 👍

@@fuzznickers your welcome. I’ve never tried it but I would just start out with a drop or two at a time. I don’t want you to ruin your inks.

I am not too experienced with the Petri dish technique and I am still experimenting. However I would say it's important to have the right resin as well. However I am not sure though 😅
