Neonennui That was a bit of click bait. I think though in general with that, using ones own judgement would suffice. I don't wear earrings and a necklace unless they're studs or a set that is part of something like diamond earrings with a matching choker ( I attend many state affairs and gala events) , but I will wear earrings and a bracelet or a necklace and bracelet. I always wear my ring of course. Definitely no dangling earrings with a necklace on a regular occasion.

I don't suggest just cutting knitwears like the hat hack. You can unravel your entire hat that way. If you do want to do this, make sure you've washed the knit hat first and put it in the dryer. It will felt a little and that should prevent it from falling apart!
