I was at Basspro today and looked at a box of 12ga and the head stamp said winchester and was black looked just like the universal shells from Walmart.

Herters was their own company and had a great catalogue and great duck n goose decoys and clothing etc.... Winchester did make a lot of the Herters shotgun/pistol etc.. but I have now heard Italy using cheddite hulls. I believe it was Cabela's who bought the herters name.

Went through a couple boxes this year in 20 2 3/4 5 shot and appeared to be straight up black winchesters. Stamped and everything. I think I prefer them to Winchester. Seem to be loaded a little hotter from what I could tell. Was having some issues with winchesters not putting birds down I hit pretty good this year. Really struggling with squirrels.

It's an older model MTM scale. These have been flawless for me. Unfortunately it's no longer in production. I'm currently looking for a good replacement. These can be found on ebay from time to time...but are expensive.
