Awesome tips. I have a bunch of equipment that I used to carry around for podcasts; Shure mics, mic stands, Rode recorder, etc. That's a full suitcase, plus a protective case for the mics. I've replaced that with 2 DJI mics. I can now do a podcast anywhere because the DJI setup fits in my camera bag.

Turning your selfie stick into a boom idea is pretty good. I have a magnetic plate attachment for my selfie stick that makes it work even better. Thanks!

I just bought the new Dji mic 2 for my Sony a7c and i love it. I set to Mono and Stereo, with the low cut filter OFF and NC OFF and it sounds very well with the mic attached to my shirt. The new wheel is nice, the package is top notch, and i pay only 50% because i won at the casino, ah ah. Dji product seems solid and well thought, sounds good. Then after in post in DaVinci Resolve, you can always refine the sound IF you want with AI voice enhancer or isolation, apply special EQ and compressor for top professional quality. But right of the box the sound is good to my opinion. I prefer to disable all options on the mic to keep the best quality with the ambiant sound, then you can always modify it later with a powerful software. I always disable nc and lcf on all my boom mics as well. I need to buy a stereo to mono splitter so i can test connecting my stereo azden smx-30 stereo/mono via the two transmitter and record 120 degree stereo wirelessly. Dji told me it should work, outside of their design but it should work.

I just bought the dji mic 2 two days ago and there is no noise, the mic is set for my camera listed in the menu and i set my camera gain the lowest possible (1-4) to maintain -12db level and no peaking Then in post (Davinci Resolve) you can normalize for the application you use (youtube). I haven’t it yet but With digital adapter, you don’t need to set the camera gain, it’s digital. The dji mic 2 sounds good with the mic on shirt or in interview mode, but must not be too close from the mouth or it will peak and distort, but that is normal with all the mic. But on the shirts or jackets at the normal distance, the sound is excellent with no noise. Wirelessly. I haven’t checked the files yet. But i am certain these are perfect with the 32 bits mode activated as i do.

If you put the mic on you, putting it near the throat or chest area will heavily affect your sound’s low end frequencies since the chest is a resonance chamber

@@Jerenluis1 It will, so you’ll have to edit in post to even your sound. Using a lav mic or clipping the mic further away should give a better result.
