Mhhh that reminds to all the salty negative reviews on tekken 7 steam page. Many Tekken 3 nostalgia people comming to modern tekken and play online and notice that people online actually play abit better than 3rd graders from their memorys :D But i hope Tekken 8 budget will allow for more casual / solo content.

I actually enjoyed playing online Tekken and had my shared victories something we as kids didn’t have when Tekken 3 came out so you’d be surprised how many of us were stoked about it. Of course our loyalty will be for the early games but every Tekken announcement is always exciting.

@@Lyno1979 Ya thats true of course :D most people that play modern tekken also loved it as a kid on the ps1/2 there are also some that just discovered tekken in recent times during t7 release and of course there are people that only played it as a kid and have a special memory of it and come back to the modern tekken scene and some rediscover their love for tekken while other think its not what it supposed to be mostly because they stuck to much in the elementary schooler mindset of fighting games. I always love to see old tekken fans enjoying and discovering modern tekken (and actaully old tekken playing in an modern way too :D) There are also a small community which plays tekken 2,3 and Tag1 on arcade emulator online so its alot of fun.

0:14 - The jump in audio quality/clarity at this point is striking. That jumped out more to me the gradually improving graphics with each game. Awesome compilation by the way; that Tekken 2 voice-line brings a lot of nostalgia to me.

I can't remember my first Tekken, but I remember seeing Tekken 3 as a kid, on the arcade cabinet. Not sure if it was a restaurant or a laundromat. I guess my entry would be Tekken 4. then 5 ( which gave me access to the 3 classic Tekken games ) never played 6, got Hybrid & played Tag 1 & a prolonged version of Tag 2. ( before I got the full game ) Then played Revolution ( which is pretty much a downgraded free 2 play version of Tag 2 ) Was thinking about getting 7, but then I got too occupied with other games. Tekken 8 will be my reintroduction to the franchise since Tag 2.

Kazuya and Heihachi are tanks. The story has been revolved around them two fighting each other, then occasionally throwing in other family members( i.e. Jinpachi, Kazumi, Jin, ), and some "indebted" family friends like Akuma .

Tekken tag 1 probably had my favourite character design because they werent overly muscular. They were jacked still dont get me wrong and it depended on the character but it wasnt like every character had a build like a pro bodybuilder. Like Law who is basically based off Bruce Lee was ripped but still a slim build yet in newer tekken games even he is overly jacked. In tekken 5 they started becoming overly jacked. Look at Jin at 0:10 vs 0:15

Tekken Tag 1 arcade had really low poly counts, but the modeling for each character was spot on. The PS2 version made everybody look plastic, and the body proportions were messed with slightly. Arcade version still looks better despite the crappier tech.
