I make dish soap with sal suds, citrus vinegar (soak citrus peels in white vinegar - use for cleaning or food), water, citric acid, and kosher salt.

Growing up in the 50's we still had toothpowder in a little sprinkle can. You wet your brush and tapped the can to disperse the powder on the wet brush. My grandma and mom coming through the great depression thought that to wasteful because some did land in the sink so we put it in the very clean palm of our hand and dipped the wet brush in to pick up the powder. We never would have dipped a toothbrush into the whole container. If you make some just try putting a pinch into your palm and see if that seems less odd. It is all what we are used to. Thanks for sharing. I love Azure also.

When you grind your grain in the Vitamix freeze it first because it will get hot. Our oily house on KZbin has a good homemade toothpaste recipe. My dad always just used baking soda he died at 73 and never had a cavity.

Eco dent tooth powder is my very favorite, and you can get it from Azure. I've been using it for a couple of years and I keep a good stockpile of it on hand. Your teeth feel like you just had a cleaning at the dentist every day.

Coconut oil + baking soda + hydrogen peroxide + peppermint extract was the toothpaste recipe I used... was a bit too abrasive for me, but my husband didn’t seem to mind. (And the whole “seasonal changes” to coconut oil can be annoying.😆)

@@ScottandKelli also Lehman’s has a lot of off grid grain mills (hand cranked) but I think only one brand that is electric. I ended up ordering mine on amazon.

Vitamix has a special canister just for grains…..qvc has them if you want to read about it. Probably waaaay cheaper than buying a whole machine just for grains

My Azure order comes this weekend. I’m also trying their dish soap for the first time! Equal Exchange mind, body, and soul is our favorite coffee too. I didn’t see the sale but we don’t have a coffee grinder. Do you have one you recommend? Once you open a big bag of coffee beans like that how do you store them so they don’t get stale?

Ah yayy! So exciting! Our coffee grinder is just your basic cheap electric coffee grinder we've had since we got married, so I'm sure any ole grinder will work fine! We store them in 1/2 gallon mason jars, whole bean holds their flavor longer than ground coffee!

Well, I think it depends on your hopes for the course. I had heard a lot of testimonies of pregnancies from taking the course, so that was my hope! It has been very informative and easy to follow and a great guide. I really appreciate having access to the fb community group, a lot of like minded girls and a great resource for all things natural & healthy living! It is a bit pricey. I think she has gotten A LOT of her resource info from Ray Peat, and he gives his articles for free on his website, so that may be a good thing to reference. But like I said, she is doing the service of putting it all in a pretty, easy to follow package and guide, which is beneficial and less work!

Haha I'm picturing people stealing bees from our hive... that's probably what I would have assumed this meant as well before we got bees!! But this time of year, all bees (yellow jackets included) are getting desperate for honey to stock up for winter and so they will steal from each other. If you lessen the entry hole to the hive to make it small, the hive can manage it and protect it's resources from being stolen by other bees, but since, the wood pieces got knocked off, they weren't able to fend off all the bees. All their resources for winter got stolen, and they left =( so sad.
