I just stumbled upon your channel and been kind of watching everything in reverse. I have to say I really enjoy the content and how youre presenting it. Im doing a similar build on a second gen Toyota Celica. The T3 parts look incredible and ive been drooling over them. Ive got to ask, how do you see them fairing on the street? Im hesitant to go with some of their stuff because they use heim joints. How do you feel that will effect ride quality and durability? Thanks in advance!

Steven Corrales Thanks for the kind words! As far as ride and comfort, I've gone for a stiff chassis for handling. This includes a lot of the suspension and roll cage components. I really want to get this thing rolling so I can see how it feels on the road but considering T3's engineering, I have confidence in their products. You raise a good point with the joints but I feel that they should be fine, considering a lot of the components from T3 are larger and beefer than what came stock on the 280z

Good afternoon I hope you get this message but I was wondering do you have a video on how you rebuilt. the steering rack? 😀 not do you know where or how I can get the information to do that myself?

Hi there - good video and the car looks like it is coming along nicely. While stainless seems like a good idea, I would strongly suggest that you replace those stainless fasteners (if you have not already done so) with either grade 8 fasteners or new factory bolts/nuts. The average stainless steel fastener is not appropriate for any kind of suspension application, or for use in any kind of critical load situation. If you really want stainless for that application, you should contact APR (arp-bolts.com/p/stainless.php) as they make the correct grade of fastener in stainless, but they are just about the only supplier. I also didn't notice a torque wrench lying about? Not trying to rag on you, just want to see you go fast safely!

I second this, grade 8 is always the way to go with suspension components, even more so with the subframe...

How do you know what to torque everything down to?
@OldDatsun6 жыл бұрын
Mitchel Essang I follow the original torque specs. I invested in the Haynes manual for the 280z
