Great video. I watched both videos. Got my leather covers at Interior Innovations as well. For my seats, I left the old vinyl covers on, cut a slit where the tap fits through, used the silicone lube like you, (the vinyl was pretty slick helping me get the leather on the seat back) and worked the cover down with lots of muscle and a hair dryer to heat and soften the leather. I also used some pliers wrapped in a rag to help me pull the final inch or so at the bottom to get the covers real tight. Instead of hog rings, I used upholstery thread doubled up and hand sewed the bottom ends together, giving me a neat closed bottom. Great tips! Thank you! I used hog rings, zip ties and lots of thread and a needle to complete mine. One back took me about 5 hours. (Mainly due to hand sewing the bottom) I'm hoping the bottoms and the other seat back go much quicker now that I have a system.

Dude!!! You don't use hog rings on this installation. Nice Frankenstein seam.

That was hilarious 😂 You have no idea what you’re doing. I could tell you step by step what you did wrong…. But I won’t. I’ll give you a huge tip though….. those tabs at the bottom that you hammered down are the finishers for that seat. Not hog rings.

The reason you didnt show the finished is? Probably the huge gap in between the lower and upper seat!
