Good to see you bringing a game to the table. A lovely pair of armies and a nice narrative falling out from the cavalry blunder on the right against the Barvarians. I too game in a conservatory and it either rains or is blazing hot 🙂 I am okay with the disorder rules as they stand. It brings a good element of chaos to create openings in the game and really helps solo play. It effects both sides equally and they are auto removed at the end of the turn. It can also help an attack and of course in this game that would help the cavalry Vs line infantry. Note, while a disordered unit normally cannot issue an order, it can issue a Disorderly Retreat order, which would have helped your cavalry.

many thanks. ahhh thanks for the info about the disorderly retreat order... I will check that out for next time. I did think it a little strange how a disordered unit would just sit in front of line infantry and get blasted without some kind of reaction. :-)

Personally, I also find that disorder can happen a bit too much. I use a different colored dice for saving throws and if the hit that scored a six is saved, there is no disorder. I imagine that this halves disorder in most cases
