It's hard to catch on if you haven't been an avid watcher of the games in the past or don't play the game. when you watch the pros play for years you begin to understand every decision with every click they make. but because they're so insanely fast, it's even hard to keep up with everything lol.

Answer is not much. Hydra bust is the META these days in ZVP and you will see it very often. Protoss just has to build a wall of cannons and amass zealots until they get storm tech, then they can bust out of the contain easily because the concave infront of their base is very vulnerable to storms. Zerg will usually retreat at this point and allow you to get a 3rd up, then try to counter attack the 3rd using lurker tech, then the game is wide open at that point. I played alot of games with my friend who is a Protoss over the years and this is pretty much how the game will go unless someone makes a mistake. Bisu dealt with it pretty well in g2 but got greedy in g3 and went for DT - which turned out to be useless because he didnt have enough corsairs to take out the overlords, which is why he lost so hard in g3.

Thiers not much u can do actually since this is SC1 and SC1 is limited to what u can make, which was a major downfall of SC1...thiers a whole documentary about it, and all the pros even talk about it the issue of SC1 it wasn't the movement or gameplay but the limitation of army combo and such as compositions and units

if you are talking about when he first went in to attack the cannons he would have lost more in doing so and cannons are weaker to take out if you are talking about him attacking the forge upgrades are more important for protoss to get

@@HomeofStarcraft thanks for the answer man :) yes the pylon has more hitpoings. but he can disable 3 cannons if he kills he so i thought that was worth it. for sure he has a better grasp on the situation than me tho

@@gratler killing a cannon is better here because it is quick to take out and with each cannon killed the damage output of protoss is reduced which can quickly turn the tides of a fight, cannons have high damage per second so taking out the pylon is worse in that specific situation

@@CanariasCanariass interesting. thank you for the answer man. i guess going after the pylon is also more of a gamble. if you dont manage to destroy it after all you wasted a ton of ressources with no result at all as the shields will regenerate and it will be protected again.

@@gratler Yes, and also while you take out the pylon that cannon is still hitting and killing your hydras. Also a cannon is 150 minerals, a pylon only 100, and killing a cannon goes relatively quickl with hydras. But there are definitely other situations where killing the pylon would be superior

Jaedong is rly good but Protoss is just to overpowered in my opinion units to tanky dealing to much dmg and than u have this thunder cast the best skill to fast killing group of units.. its not good balancing

You may be a new player. Toss is not OP, statistically it is the weakest race. True they are tanky but very expensive and in ZvP, decisions like going for an Eco or Tech gain are easily punished with hydra bust shown in Game 3. SCBW at the highest level is arguably the most balanced game in the history of games.

Protoss is not overpowered at all, Terran 200/200 3/3 stomps Protoss and also ZvP is a bit Z favored, overall the balance is very close to perfect, depending on the maps

the history of terran players winning major tournaments disagree with your statement here. if you wanna say any race is op then probably terran would be the one to name. sc1bw is one of the most balanced games to play especially if you have the maps to balance the weaknesses and strengths of all 3 races.
