So thats why I never got to grips with this game, you actually are supposed to wallride on certain corners. After learning Drifting in F-Zero X, now I need to give this and the second part another try!

Man. Aged pretty well, for an early 3D racer, but still can’t believe I paid £60 - in nineties money - for it. I guess weapons off means less lag and no red Missiles slowing you down? I used to love using the rear flamerthrower after passing a booster and using a nitro. There was one time, on the second track, I was approaching the sharp turn after the loop, and impulsively jinked right. About eight Missiles flew past and erupted into a framerate-wrecking explosion. Pretty exhilarating!

Still can't believe I used to play hours on this shit as a kid and I never experienced headaches. I'm 10 seconds into the video rn and I'm already feelin dizzy to the point I almost threw up 💀

This is my Favourite racer for N64, above Mario Kart, f zero x and Diddy Kong. Graphically limited by technology at the time. Give this game XBOX X 4k remaster, pump up the graphics and it would look and play spectacularly. Keep the music, cos it was awesome! Someone, just get it done!

great run, for a great game. i think i could beat it tho. i couldnt stream it, but i could get 1st place on this leaderboard for meltdown. i love how theres hundreds of tiny optimizations that can be made. with your help i got 55 second lap on cave two. using one nitro. i never thought i could ever do that. but yes im confident the leaderboard for this game isnt completely optimized
