Hi Shaun, I also recently started riding a Specialized Turbo Levo com with a RockShox Lyrik Select RC 29 and a RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock. The frame size is xl. My dealer says if I change to a 27.5 rear wheel comes the bottom bracket too low. Now I'm a little unsure. Best thanks in advance and many greetings from Rhineland Palatinate and their beautiful wine route. Sporty greetings Jörg

Hi. Makes sense: 29 2.6 "(Schwalbe Eddy Current) with 27.5 2.5" (Maxxis Assegai) in the idem bike (levo 29 - 2019)???. Very good video about all the numbers you put!
@bikenetwork_SA5 жыл бұрын
Think better to run the Assegai upfront (softer compound) for grip and the Eddy Current at the back for rolling speed, durability and protection.

Thank you, that is very helpfull. Could you tell me if that would work on a specialized kenevo?
@bikenetwork_SA4 жыл бұрын
Yes it does.

Grazie

Hi, great vid. I am purchasing a 27.5 rear for my large Levo 2020 model. What Tyre do you recommend for the rear please. Do you recommend upgrading the shocks. I am fairly new to the sport but enjoy some jumps and single twisty trails with some drops. Off to Jonkershoek this weekend and keen to try the mullet. Thanks

Hey Shaun, - cheers for the kind words. Look for a DH casing tyre for the rear - something about 1200grams or higher will give you enough support. You could also try a cSixx foamo tyre insert in the rear to improve rim and tyre protection. There are so many good tyres around these days - Pirelli, Bontrager, Specialized, Maxxis, Panaracer and Schwalbe are what I have used recently on eMTB's and they are good. See what your local store has and feel free to ask more advice. - Myles. Enjoy Jonkers!

Totally late to the game. But how do you think this would work on a 2021 Trek Rail 7 size medium?

Thanks for the informative video. What do you think about running a 44 mm offset fork with the 27,5 rear wheel? Cheers

It will be great!

What do you think about a 27.5 on the rear of the 2020 rm powerplay intstict bc
@bikenetwork_SA5 жыл бұрын
Hey Adam, I think you could make it work. There is SO much adjustability within that platform from RM that you should be able to get a good setup. On a 140mm rear e-Bike, I dont think you ever want to run your BB lower than around 340mm mark. I would say that's probably a benchmark number for you to keep in mind. BUT, i say that with having no idea on the kind of trails you ride, what pedals you use and how you like to ride. Have fun trying it out. Cheers

Which 27,5 rear wheel do you recommend for the levo? Hope, Dt-swiss?? Greetz!
@bikenetwork_SA4 жыл бұрын
I currently have a cSixx Enduro wheelset which is rolling strong. If you are riding technical trails don't be scared to go heavy and bombproof. I haven't tried the DT Swiss on my eMTB no but they are good wheels.

What do you think to trying this on the 2019 orbea rallon 150mm travel??
@bikenetwork_SA5 жыл бұрын
Hi Shaun, - yea - not a good idea for the Orbea. The BB is already pretty slammed there.

Does the LEVO Mission Control app allow you to change the rear to 27.5 in order to prevent the High Speed Restriction from kicking the motor off at a lower speed??? Just wondering. 🤔
@kulile5 жыл бұрын
I believe this may have been the case on older Levos, i.e. pre 2019s that haven't had motor software updates. You can not longer do this with the newer ones using the Mission Control app. You would have to take your Levo to an approved dealer to have them make the wheel size changes. Note that you would have to do this again should you wish to change back to a 29ner.
