Yazdani concedes head position and has the most success with underhook of anyone in this era. Head Across underhook favors a low driving position useful for zone pressure in FS. Also, the head across favors follow-up attacks on the opposite side as the underhook like drags, ducks etc.

Should really check out Elena Ivaldi @55kg who is the current U23 national champion at 19 and medalist at this tournament who took out multiple national champions--all with underhooks. Outside of Hidlay and Brookes, she has the most complete underhook system in the US and is the only women in the country who implements a combination of Iranian and Russian underhook systems.

How do you prevent the fireman's carry if youre puching the underhook and without head position? Love your videos man

@@andypowder2146 you can grab a collar tie or wrist control but really once you’re comfortable in that position you’ll feel it. Most people do it from there just to bail or as a desperation move. I literally bait it for an easy go-behind if I know the guy likes the fireman’s but I’m not wrestling anyone as good as Desanto or Bo Bassett so I’m not 100% sure

Any advice on using underhook on taller oponent ? 5'3 height and my competion are most 6'3 as in europe people are quite big
