The HG 2013's Red Frame is more OVA-accurate while this RG resembles more the transition between the HG-style that Akutsu had on the manga and the Red Frame Kai's lineart that he introduced after the Red Frame got some repairs

I got this kit and I love it, the one small criticism I have (which others have probably made as well) is that the mouth vents seem slightly...off. If I had to try to put my finger on what it is about them that bugs me, I think it's how far they are spaced apart. Aside from that, really happy with the kit. The RG line is just so great!

I applied all the stickers and it greatly improves the look. This looks like an hg in comparison. Its still a great kit.

Awesome review, I think I'm gonna get this after all. Biggest selling point for me, is the beam rifle handle moves!! The gerbera straight, is kinda cool, but what ever. Now we just need bandai to announce the blue frame as online exclusive, so we get the bazooka.

Im thinking I'll definitely like this one more than the MG, but thats likely because I don't like the fact that the MG doesn't come with the basic backpack, beam sabers, rifle, and shield. I don't really like the tactical arms. Buster swords are ridiculous, and the flight mode doesn't have a single booster on it. But I can't not use it because the '"backpack" is just a flat piece of plastic meant to hold the tactical arms. Sure, I'd like the RG to come with two katana, but meh, I can always get a second. Maybe they'll release an add on that gives you the flight pack, that'd be pretty cool.

there are a couple of HGUC kits that I want to get. Nobel Gundam and Extreme Gundam. for whatever reason those kits are now really expensive $60 and $30 respectively. do you know why they've become so expensive?

Because they are currently hard to find. Bandai hasn't don't a run of them in a while so the number of kits on the market has dwindled. Wait for bandai to do another run then the price will drop.

Waist problem? Just scrape the back side of the waist connector and just leave the other side, after that put them together with lil bit pressure and you will hear a click, and thats it.. Nomore waist issue..

I've never really been a fan of the red frame, as like you I'm not really keen on the Katana. That being said the attention to detail they put into it is amazing (shame about the gold plastic though). I bet I will have this kit one day but it isn't at the top of my RG wish list.

I got 2 problems with this kit. 1. The legs are to stiff. 2 the real grade hands can't hold the katana. Is their anyway to fix any of those problems?

+NERDY G Legs: bend them a few times, the frame will loosen up. Hands: use the fixed hands, paint the fingers proper colors.

+Green Orange Not really, when you use those stickers, they are quite thick so the edges are too visible. It's much better to use dry-transfer or waterslide decals.

The RG wing zero also has the same connector as the astray's. The difference is that Zero has it on his back. Man I wish they're doing the rg infinite justice. They're releasing the another RG wing this January. Great review

+Red7 Wing Zero's action base connector can attach to either the crotch or the backpack. also most RG kits use that same action base connector.

Red7 it's definitely cool that it slides on but I worry that might might get looser over time, though if that happens to could always just use an action base connector from another RG kit because as I said before most of them use that same exact action base connector. I have six RG kits and only two of them (RX-78-2 and Char's Zaku 2) don't use that same standard connector piece.

A couple things make me absolutely hate this kit. The red plastic seems flawed. The chest frame came apart in my hand while I was holding it, no pressure at all, like the plastic did not adhere to itself during casting. A nice clean break. The detailed hands, same thing, not even given enough time to bend the fingers, the knuckles seemed to not even be attached to begin with. the fixed hands for holding the sword, same thing, they fell apart. Second gripe is the legs. the upper joints, that slide, are poorly designed. The way they are connected, they end up being pushed from one side only, which twists them in the track and almost pops them out. Putting the armor did seem to help that second issue. I cannot seem to find a way to get parts replaced in Canada, but I DID have super glue, so the chest was hacked back together. i have a decent standing model, just not going to even attempt posing, I dont want to see more of that red plastic disintegrate. Any suggestions on how to get replacements sent to canada would be great, I live in an area with absolutely no one else interested in gunpla, and forums have been unfruitful, usually just out of date info. Also, where can we order just frames?

North Hatre I have not heard of that happening to anyone elses kit. I think you just got a bum kit. the only way I know of to get replacement parts would be to just buy another kit. also I don't think you can just buy a frame.

This kit is great but doesn't appeal to me because of that face plate.....The MG looks so much better imo. And the fact that you only get the basic weaponry is disappointing. I wish we get a flight pack in this kit but we didn't........I guess it will be another exclusive item :/
