Welcome to America Frank & Sharon! Another good video... I live in Colorado on the western slope and know where the uranium mines that the ore that was refined and used in the "fat boy" & "little boy" that was dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki is located, and many are still accessible, been in a few of them myself a few year's back. They're located between Gateway and Naturita Colorado, if you guy's ever decide to go anytime in the future, let me know, I'd love to go!

I'm sitting here in Northern Michigan, just had some lunch. Grabbed up this here dumb phone and looked up the weather for Battle Mountain Nevada....just about 50° Fahrenheit there right now...abundant sunshine and a high of 61° is their forecast....it has been snowing here with 20 mph wind...we just came out of a winter storm advisory....sooooooooooooooooooo ready for warmth!!! We had a little sunshine yesterday...a flipping work day go figure....last weekend we had nice sunshine here. Way over the cold and snow and most of all....no SUNSHINE. Just ranting a bit.

Good luck finding timbers like those 9:25 up here on the surface nowadays. When they can be found they're either part of old structures or practically cost their weight in gold.

Love the Battle Mountain area. I used to travel there to buy turquoise since there alot of copper mines in that area. Tonopah and Battle Mountain turquoise is quite lovely with its beautiful green varieties. I used to make silver jewelry with the turquoise. Never sold any of it but gave them as gifts. But Nevada is such a gorgeous state. Too bad most people just see barren desert. Have fun you two!

There used to be hundreds of really cool ones out there field most of them with the cat Back behind those open pits the road kind of goes off the side keep going back about two more miles and see some giant telling piles those are still open I have detected a lot of gold lot of gold around those mines.

Great video. I would be scared to go in that tube to get in. How far down do you figure you went in? Western mining history website says that this mine had an 850-foot inclined shaft. I am guessing there is a lot more that you cannot get to because of that sketchy area.
