This is just awesome to see. I am a daughter of an old time mineral assayist. Dad passed years ago, but he left this girl an enduring love and curiosity of rocks and minerals. He never got to go to college, but was able to learn on the job. Anyway, love your videos; I look forward to seeing more of them. Thanks for sharing all of your content!❤🎉

Simular story: Old Disabled House Bound Dusty Rusty Rockhound here: My Dad was a machinist who specialized in lapidary skills... and a self-taught armchair geologist who raised my sister and I to be lapidary geeks! Thanks, Dad! I know he's in heaven Rockhounding!

There is a mine site near Villa Grove in Colorado. Very nice blue green color. I know one of the owners and I bet you could get out there if you wanted.

We have been there when Dean was still around. We always had fun and had a blast with Dean. We always left with some beautiful turquoise.

Hello Elley, Paul from Arizona. In this video your working it,hammer, chisel, then at one point your holding a rock and say oww!! The camera goes fuzzy. You say " the rock hurt my hand". I know that hurt from working with ruff materials. I've always liked your videos great stuff even the Roswell one. Anyways my hats off to you you have heart. No matter the pain you keep going. We all love your videos thank you.

You should look into getting a couple of lens filters, would do wonders for you (and us) in direct sunlight. Especially since you film so much in the desert. Edit: I guess you are filming using 4K 60fps on an iPhone, might also want to look into getting a lens hood. Even The $20 Amazon ones get you 90% of the performance the silly expensive ones provide. Anyway, keep on digging Ellie, love the energy 😊.

Elley, i really enjoy your videos; however, this time I don't see you or anyone else wearing safety glasses while breaking rocks. That's a good way to permanently damage your vision or even blind an eye. Everyone e thinks it will never happen to me, until it does. Like you, I worked for two of the largest mining companies in Arizona after graduating from the U of A in Tucson in the early 90s. Safety was almost a religion, but there were still crippling injuries and occasional fatalities. Please set a good example and wear safety glasses or goggles, and explain to your audience how important it is! I'll be watching, 'cause I love your show.
