awesome module ! i have the sputnik version with a slightly smaller foot print.. have you tried that one? the good thing about the sputnik one is that the envelopes will light up on the specific bands. running drum loops or any sound source into it is awesome

@@Stazma cool looking foward to that!! The Tip Top i296t does look and feel better with the longer faders as well.

I often read that a "real" vocoder is only possible with 2 x 296 modules...Can you explain how are the 2 x 296 connected & what a second 296t is needed for? Thanks in advance and thx for uploading, your video already helped me a lot!

With one you get 8 bands vocoding, with two you can use one only for analysis and send the whole 16 bands to control the level of the 16 bands of the other one. I’ll show it in my upcoming videos about filter banks

I guess the basics are covered but there’s going to be more videos with this thing for sure at some point.

@@Stazma yeah just some exploring would be fun. The last section where you used the 808 with the envelope followers really has blown my mind. I’m building the system myself but thought I was going to skip this module but now I see it’s huge huge functionality. Could use loops on the octatrack to make it into some sort of generative sequencer

I need to get a whole new rack to fit this beast. I want them to release a 259t so i can justify as new rack.

I really don’t need another complex oscillator but I won’t resist that 259t for sure.
