in this theory and practical tutorial i explained practical functional description to Understand & Repair Switch Mode Power Supply SMPS Practical troubleshooting. it is using FSDH321 current mode SMPS PWM controller. DH321 & DL321 are similar ICs but the main difference is switching frequency. Pinout is same.
i demonstrated How to repair switch mode power supply SMPS very easy. i shared my easiest and perfect troubleshooting techniques practical troubleshooting. smps concept and troubleshooting repairing or understanding repair switching mode power supply basics and working principle. also i discussed smps basics. after watching this video you can capable to:-

I have noted that there is not one techical question below. I have one for you please, how is voltage stabilisation achieved on the 5v and 12v rails. Say, there is heavy demand on the 3v rail but heavy demand on the 5v rail. The 12 v rail may over volt while the feedback is dealing with the demand coming from the 3v rail where the feedback is sensed. The magnetic flux would do weird and complex things as the load through the transformer splits up through the independent load coils. surely independent regulation may also be required???

best regards and special thanks your question is very strong in cheap and low quality power supplies used in commercial field, 3.3 volt is considered critical for micro-processor. so its regulation is kept at top priority while the other sections of multi-section power supply are followed to 3.3 volt, basically other outputs are not regulated, their voltage level is compromised, in case of any problem in 3.3, will change the output of other sections respectively, but remaining in the regulation window of 3.3 volt regulation the other section's output will also change but it will remain within limits because the circuits connected to other sections have flexible operating voltage ranges. if 3.3 volt section is out of specified limits, then the smps controller will disable the output by reaching at its maximum drive limits. if any output will overloaded it will case to increase the magnetizing flux , which will cause excessive voltage in un-regulated sections in special multi-output power supplies all outputs are monitored, in case of any output is out of limit, then the power supplies disables the output

Hi! Have you ever was thinking of designing capacitor DC-DC step-up converter? Meaning without transformer at all. For example- you have 10 low-ECR capacitors connected in series (+ to -, + to -,.....), and you are charging each of them very fast one after another by using mosfets or other switches (1st for 1 millisecond, then second for1 millisecond...etc until last 10th one)? So you can in this case (with 10 capacitors in series) achieve 120v output voltage from 12v battery if to charge each capacitor to 12v very fast. or it's hard to do it technically for some reasons?
