RIP this server. I was woods, I played on there after nublar went down. I had a 3.0 krono with 30k minutes. Loved that server. it died from other games being released and also bob hype died very fast. plus the DS community was kinda tired of bob. you may not know me but I was probably the most or second most consistent player on that server while it was up. sucks it died.

There’s an option to turn off bright colors so people that want realistic colors can have them, i was kinda turned off by the skins at first when looking at the game but something about having a rare mutation and growing biggest on the server really draws some people in. But yeah I’d recommend trying before deciding

What's the appeal of this game? I'm just curious what people who actually play the game think of it since I haven't played it at all. What's the appeal over say, The Isle or Path of Titans? You could argue it doesn't have the terrible mission system like Path of Titans. :hmm

Personally, I find the perk system interesting. Your traits can be passed on to offspring to make better. stronger dinos; but the inheritance is finicky. At the moment, there are paras and nesting in BoB, both things I enjoy that The Isle currently lacks. (For now) BoB is just a nice little escape from The Isle for me when I want something with more variety and just... different. I still enjoy The Isle more, way more, but BoB is a nice break.

Dino’s kinda feel limitless with how growing and inherits work so I feel like I can always push boundaries which is cool, the mechanics may seem goofy as well which they kinda are but it’s really refeshing folding from a game like legacy isle where it’s just all biting

To add onto what the others have said, I find a lot more replay ability with bob their are many different Dino’s to play with and they all have their own unique traits and abillities. And you can adopt any kind of play style you want depending on what inherits/traits you take!

I haven’t played pot, but compared to the isle; this game has so much to do beyond the survival aspect that these games offer. Things like chasing fancy skins, trying to get a perfect set of inherits, or trying to grow to kaiju size for instance. It’s mechanics run deep, I mean there are mechanics involved in staying hydrated even. Throw in varied play styles from tunneling chickens, ocean monsters, and annoying “birds” with a side of weather events like rain floods fires and tornadoes, and you got one of the better be the dinosaur games.
