Leopards are kinda like the Velos in Beasts of Bermuda. Or at least in the climbing aspect. They both can climb, it’s just glitchy as hell. I would love to play this game. But man, that desync and rubber banding is what’s going to keep me from it till it’s fixed. Like, I would like to see what I’m fighting.

This game is unbalanced af. Wilde vs leo, leo should have no chance catching up. Wilde should run 80km/h, while leo should run 58km/h max with bad stamina because it is an ambush predator. Ambush preds have godly stamina in this game... irl lion can run for like 150m, while leo for about 200m. Wilde is in a bad spot too. Cant run away, cannot fight. Everything is messed up big time.

in the current games mechanics, we cant only look at realism for statistics. imagine howw useless leopards would be if they were slower than everything in game besides the big ones. ambush is near impossible because of the terrible rendering. Also, wilde can run away from leos, it is faster, at least the last time I played it. also they can fight, they got a massive buff.

@@Unstoppableink The leopard, just like the lion is an ambush predator and needs to be so ingame as well for balance. That the rendering is terrible will be probably fixed later on. Its ability to climb trees is its major advantage. Nothing can steal its food and nothing can reach it there. It will be perfectly viable even with a speed and stamina nerf. All we need is for the devs to fix their game and fix climbing. Otherwise leopard will be just a lower lvl lion. Then what is the point in having a separate animal that is just a more terrible lion with less stats? All animals need their unique gameplay. No two animal should play the same. Also, the prey items of leopard is not equal to the lion's prey items. A leopard has no business in killing grown wildes and grown zebras. It is a medium tier predator and needs to seek prey lower on the food chain. Like impalas, baby and juvenile animals, etc. It is another detail that most of leopard's prey items are not implemented in the game. Another thing devs must fix later on.

@@NLance honestly from my experience, leopards are more of a menace than lions lol. and if they nerf leos speed, they should also majorly nerf every other animals speed along with it. or else they would just chase it down.

​@@Unstoppableink I think a nerf in speed for all animals in general is required. They run way too fast on the screen. Such a speed is okay for a cheetah, though. But nah. Leopard cannot be chased down because it has a decent agility and has trees to climb up on. Nobody can chase it when the leopard is unreachable. But a speed nerf is necessary for leopard for balance. It needs to run slower than the lion and slower than wilde/zebra/gazelle. Imagine an animal in the game which can keep up with every other animal, hits decently hard, gives a ton of bleed and is able to climb trees to get away from retaliation as well as hide its food up trees so nothing can steal its food or take it. Way too OP. With decreased speed (and with nerf in most of its other stats), it will be a decent mid tier ambush predator that cannot compete with the lion and means no real harm to larger herbivores. I think the problem is that ppl were allowed to play the leopard as a lion killer and a competition for lion for way too long. It is a mid tier predator vs apex predator. The lion weighs more than 3 times more.
