Imagine being 10 dates in, spending a ton of money and a lot of time, only to find out she is polyamorous while you are strictly monogamous. 10 dates in, you could have legitimate feelings brewing and now you've set yourself up to be hurt. Set boundaries while You're still seeing clear. Don't wait for the rose coloured glasses to cloud your judgement.

I’m 17 yo male and i’ve always felt like i have a heightened level of emotional maturity and lack in the emotional intelligence part. watching your guys’ stuff has really helped me put together some different techniques for deescalating situations that could potentially end up causing issues in relationships due to my incapability to understand alternative POV (partners or friends and family alike) Thank you and keep it up yall rock!!

Ooof. The intimacy chat. I felt that. Having a "you look great" in passing is nice, but when it's just the two of you in a raw moment and nothing else exists... That moment is fireworks. You're in your most vulnerable moment and he sees through the flaws that YOU see and he just sees you as beautiful. ❤️ I really hope more people start to see the value in those moments. I would take one intimate compliment over a dozen forced, every single time.

Love your comments about intimacy and sole focus! Me and my boyfriend are both single parents, he is a sole parent who works long hours and I am doing a bachelors degree and a diploma to upskill at work, where I am in healthcare and work long shifts. When we get to spend time together (we are in the early stages so building things slowly), it’s in the evening when we’ve both gone about our days and we come together when everything is done and I am his SOLE focus. He doesn’t look at his phone, he admits his mind is clear and we connect more in those few hours then most people might in a day who live together. I’ve learnt the power of quality over quantity, and he is a quality man. There’s is nothing quite like the feeling of his eyes on me and there being nothing else that’s running through his mind other than the fact he’s with me.

I absolutely love you guys- i work from home and listen to podcasts all day, and just found you this weekend and have binged almost all of them. I love how real and transparent you are, and i just wanted you to know how beneficial your content has been! I do have one comment about chronically dating narcissists- it is not uncommon for those with unhealed childhood trauma to jump from one abusive relationship to the next bc of a lack of boundaries and self worth, and then to stay too long in these relationships bc of a desire to fix the other person or bc they dont want to admit defeat. I completely agree that the term was overplayed and possibly even projected in this situation though, and loved that yall were real enough to call that out 👏

Peaches you are beautiful inside and outside. People quick to judge before they look in the mirror. They don’t like smart , witty and strong charactered women. Also it was a smart come back “ yes I am insecure and there is nothing wrong about that” bc there is nothing wrong about that we all have our moments men/women. Good episode. 🎉 still love y’all content

For the narcissist who helped her move, he could be a narcissist & still help her move bc at the end of the day it could benefit him alot by not his child around so he wont look as bad when people find out hes not trying to be in the childs life. It could also benefit him bc he can say "im a good guy, I helped my ex wife move because I'm such a good guy." Basically i mean it'll help him get the admiration he loves so much from other people. Plus he could've done it so that she would think hes not as bad & wont tell others, it helps narcissists when people dont know theyre narcissists bc its easier to manipulate peope to get the result they desire.

This video gave me a lot of really useful insight about not relying on relationships for confidence. Thank you so much :) Would you guys ever make a video discussing dating in your early twenties and how to approach it healthily? I am someone who comes from a very broken family model and have watched my parents have four different divorces. I really desire a healthy family model for my future but have a lot of ingrained fear about marriages and family due to experience. My generation (gen Z) also has a really negative view on traditional marriage/having children and I don't want to fall victim to that. I'm sure there are plenty of other people in my shoes that would benefit a lot from hearing your perspective. You guys are the role models I wish I had growing up and are helping me SO much in my healing journey.

The BIGGEST distinction between setting boundaries and trying to manipulate or control because of insecurities or trauma is intention. That’s why it is so important to pay very close attention to how your partner acts and not what they say. They will show you their true intentions. Setting boundaries and controlling can look exactly the same. It’s the persons intention that is what differentiates the two. That’s how i see it anyway. As always, communicate with your partner clearly about what your boundaries are and where you are willing to adjust them to have a better relationship.

bpd has 9 traits of which you need to have atleast 5 to get diagnosed with bpd... as for the story of the lady dating the 2 "covert narcissists", they were not the narcissist in that story, she was... all I heard was "I did this, I did that, I ran this many bussinesses, I ran the ranch, I this, I that, I got beat down, MY problem is this, My problem is that" and so on and so forth. Now, didn't you guys say that the deffinition of a narcissist is to be self centered? what would you call someone saying nothing but "I" and "MY/MINE"? right... (and before anyone comes at me for either that borderline fact or the narcissism bit: my mother is a clinically diagnosed narcissist (has NPD), and as a result of her behaviour towards me, I was then diagnosed with BPD 12 years ago, so I have learned to spot them well, and at a young age, have lived it and am living it daily)

It's that Disney fairytale relationship... they never show you after marriage what happens. I was so lucky to not only have parents still together(30+ years) and grandparents(80+ years) as role models as to what happens at stages in relationships. Me being the young one at 7 years now. Unfortunately, my grandma did just pass away. Society is so far away from what makes a relationship last that its not even funny.

From what I’ve read we all the some characteristics of narcissism but of course that doesn’t make you the true definition of a narcissist. Peaches I also read how you’re actually diagnosed with this and there does have to be so many characteristics checked off to diagnose clinically. I don’t recall which medical journal or site I learned this though. I’m totally with Chris though , as far as people throwing that word around. It is a real disorder and all people do is make themselves look so ignorant using this word to describe so many people. We’re all self centered to a degree and there’s nothing wrong with that . People should really educate themselves!

took me a year to see the other side of my covert narc . yes. a year. not one fight. not one cross word. not even much of a bad day ever. but when the mask started to drop it went fast. at the second year, after so so much, i waa googling brain diseases as he had me thinking i was losing my shit, for real, i skimmed past a gaslighting link. went past, but then went back, what was that doing on a result for brain prob? Clickikg that link changed my whole world and broke my whole heart to read EXACT examples of what my whole relationship was, like a DIARY. My heart sank. i being a major psychology nut, knew what a narcissist was by definition, however that did not at all help me to identify this man when he came into my life and i wldnt of known til who knows how long if not for that article. they arent like youre saying, there are diff kinds, and yes it is important that u know these things if youre going to act like authorities or mentors to ppl u need to get educated about this stuff or youre just being wreckless and irresponsible, youre playing with ppls lives

Ok so speaking out of personal experience. Me and my wife have been together for 11 years. Have 3 kids and every time she would get some bad postpartum depression. There were times when she was verbally aggressive and had very mean tone and words. Living in that kind of puts you in defense mode and narcissistic qualities and that kind of manipulation and creep in. I saw myself getting narcissistic (not near as crappy as that guy calling her food dog poop) and it can come out of that place of being on defense. So I feel like sometimes it can be not entirely their fault and feel like their actions are justified. It feels like a good excuse because when push comes to shove you instinctual start protecting yourself like a cornered dog. But yea I agree that guy sounds like a piece of work lol

I hate how society perceives women should look, and I am thin, but no one realizes my struggle to gain weight. I think that she is somewhat narcissistic.. I sort of picked this up from the beginning, she becomes the alpha, she ends up running and controlling everything. She puts expectations onto everyone around her.. and she doesn’t look at what she’s doing wrong and won’t blame herself for her first husband cheating.. when she was supposed to initiate sex.. but that not being the only reason I’m sure in every marriage both partners have played a part in the problems and can’t blame it all on one side.. her ex cheated but i wonder what he needed from her besides the sex. I think she doesn’t like to communicate with men because she feels self entitled enough to assume that the right guy will just know what she expects from them. She does so therefore they should do. What she should also consider is that constant validation will lose its meaning and it will become not enough.

The "narcissist" chick.. That's the kind of woman I'm currently working on not being anymore.. Me not properly managing my childhood trauma and ONE bad relationship with a man who had way too many of "those" traits, had me living in the "chaos".. Unfortunatel, before i realized my "patterns", I hurt a few great men and left them in pieces.. But I woke up one day and NEEDED change. I started working the problem and putting the work in on myself, so that i can one day I can be at peace and be my true authentic self.. And ill be sure to not step foot in to the "dating scene" until I know for certain that I'm giving myself a fair chance at building a solid and HEALTHY relationship.. I've always seen your tiktoks and loved them. But I finally got on KZbin and started watching your podcasts and I'm glad I did. I'm a note taking/Journaling queen and I've filled up like 20 pages of bits and pieces of your words/advice. Taking it ALLLLLLLLL in ❤ Thank you guys for being such the TOP TIER power couple that you are 👏🏼❤ I strive to one day, have a relationship similar to yours.. JUST KEEP BEING GREATT 😁🥰🫶🏼

just a thought, cuz sometimes we all need a lil of this sometimes. u said a narcissist wldnt 'help' this woman move out of the house, cuz a narcissist is self centered. well i REALLY think u guys are great for tellling everyone to quit throwing those kinds pf words aroumd, i also have heard at least 3-5 instances where youve both made statements about a narcissist wld or wldnt do this or that, and sounding as if this is info thry need to correct their prior understandings by, but youve been very wrong about quite a few pretty serious statements. ill explain for the example above for this video, saying how he wldnt help her, if u wld of undetstood COVERT narcissist, this means undercover. so no, if the narcissist cld choose to not help and no one else find out he snubbed her on helping, YES he wldnt help, but since he is a COVERT narcissist, he doesnt help her to be a good guy n help, he helps becuz he cares about what everyone wld think of him if he didnt, keyword here being covert. they dont want anyone knowing what a selfish egotistical asshole they really are. at least not if its obviously gonna make them look bad. and they are good at hiding it. my covert narc wld follow me to another room w friends in our house and tell me what piece of shit c $@@i was and sometimes touch me or grab my arm hard as hell, then when id inevitably get uoset and either yell there on the spot, or even if i cried to myself but came out w obvious tears hed call me crazy and id look crazy! one last thing claimimg that woman was looking for another covert narc, just to be clear again, ITS HARD TO TELL THESE PPL FROM REGULAR PPL BECUZ THEY HIDE THIER NARCISSISTIC TENDENCIES UNTIL THEY GET U CLOSE, AND STILL THEY HIDE IT FROM EVERYONE ELSE BUT YOU, so if u try to tell someone about whats happening, no one believes you cuz "No way did our buddy Jon, everybodys favorite guy, the life of the party, he saved that kitten from the road remember, no way wld THAT guy be a woman beater narc" .... and thats just what that covert narc wants it to be. so u guys really need to do some understanding pf these terms before you give ANY advice to these women and men effected by real narcissists becuz its way deeper than self centered and some of your judgements and comments cld be seriously hurtful or even damaging, maybe dangerous to the ppl who are listening. Plz do not take offense. love u guys and the podcast. but make sure u really understand some of these important topics cuz youre waaaaaaay simplifying just this for example and youre really making some critical errors in advice and judgments even your understanding of the problem at hand cant be accurate without understanding what they are actually dealing with. if thats too much to ask then i think u guys shld skip over doing videos about ppl with possible personality disorders or mental health issues in general. you dont know the damage invalidating someone or misunderstanding them and giving the wrong advice can put on a person in a situation w a narc of any kind, its a VERY touchy, VERY important area where mistakes shldnt be made. plz take my words as only wanting to help shed light where it needs to be for u guys and trying to help u understand something ts clear u dont. ive seen a few vids and quite a few comments that are telling u straight up your comments pertaining to narcissism are dead wrong. so theres a few in your audience that are seeing this lack of clarity as well. itll look much better on you guys to actually understand these things. again if its too much to ask, then domt include them as u may push someone to do something dangerous or become suicidal and not even mean to. and i am telling u from the heart its that serious love u, will hope u understand thank u
