I think I finally understand why you can close your eyes but not your ears. If you look at something so beautiful it makes you cry your eyes get blurry and you loose sight of it, but when you hear something so beautiful it makes you cry, it just goes deeper and deeper into your soul unleashing more beauty along the way.

God gave the Earth the Holy Archangel Uriel, and Adam and Eve. God gave the Hebrew nation the Holy Archangel Michael, the Holy Prophet Moses, the Promised Land, King David, King Solomon, the Holy Temple, the Holy Prophet Elijah, the unfailing Sceptre from the Line of Judah for a time, Hanukkah, the Holy Virgin Mary, and The Messiah. God gave the Greeks the Holy Virgin Mary, Saint Paul the Apostle, The Church, Saint Andrew the Apostle, Constantinople, Greek Coffee, Ouzo, and the English Language. God gave the Arabs Judaism, Christianity, the Holy Virgin Mary, Saint George, Antioch, Nestorianism, Islam, Jerusalem, a will to survive, generous hospitality to a fault, Hummus, Baklava, the Dabke, an off-the-chain inveterate love of an At-the-Drop-of-a-Hat Haflī at any time and for any reason whatsoever, Perpetual Fourth-Estate-Coverage via Misinformative PR, Arak, Argeeleh, and Detroit. God gave the Armenians Christianity; Saint Gregory the Illuminator; a resilient culture amidst constant threat of extinction; mass emigration to America; William Saroyan; national independence after a 71-year hiatus; most of Fresno, Glendale, and Burbank; and the Kardashians. God gave the Mongolians the Holy Virgin Mary, Genghis Khan, the entire world for a time, and then only Ulaanbaatar. God gave the Turks Saint John the Apostle, Saint George, İstanbul, the Ottoman Empire, Mustafa Kemal, the Latin Alphabet, Turkish Coffee, "Midnight Express", and a goodly portion of West Germany prior to the events of November 9, 1989. God gave the Scots Saint Andrew the Apostle, Saint Columba of Iona, the Loch Ness Monster, golf, Johnnie Walker, the Scottish Great Highland Pipes, and Haggis. God gave the Irish Saint Patrick of Armagh, the will to fight and survive unto eternity, potatoes, no hugs, Jameson, Guinness, the uilleann pipes, and Enya. God gave the Britons Saint Joseph of Arimathæa, Saint Alban, Saint George, King Arthur, William the Conqueror, King John, King Henry VIII, King William III, the Bank of England, the American Colonies, Tea, the Indian Subcontinent, Gin and Tonic, Winston Churchill, the MI6, infamously horrid national cuisine, mass immigration from the Indian Subcontinent, The Goon Show, Benny Hill, and Monty Python's Flying Circus. God gave the Welsh Saint David, singing, coal mining, Coalminer, and Tom Jones. God gave the French the Holy Virgin Mary, the Holy Archangel Michael, Saint Clovis, Saint-Denis, polite culture, the Battle of Hastings, Napoleon, Québec, Camembert, Champagne, Charles de Gaulle, and Jerry Lewis. God gave the Germans Saint Boniface; Charlemagne; Johannes Gutenberg; Martin Luther; Pilsner; the world for a short time; half of Turkey's national emigration pool; and all of the GDR following the events of November 9, 1989. God gave the Québecois Saint Anne, 17th-century Normandy French, St.-Jean-Baptiste, Poutine, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. God gave the Swiss the Roman Empire, Saint Gallus, armed neutrality, private banking, the Alps, Schwytzertütsch, French, Italian, Romansch, John Calvin, tourism, and Carl Jung. God gave the Belgians Saint Joseph the Betrothed, pommes frites, mayonnaise, Boudin, Brussels, Tintin the boy reporter, fine chocolate, Stella Artois, the EU, and Mike Myers. God gave the Albanians the Holy Virgin Mary, Northern Greece, Enver Hoxha, Mother Mary Teresa Bojaxhiu, apparent perpetual ignorance from the entire remainder of the Occidental World to this day, Good Luck, and Liam Neeson. God gave the Israelis the Holy Archangel Michael; Palestine; Collective Farming; the Modern Hebrew language; the former American Colonies; Plausible Deniability, Qualified Immunity, and Universal Perpetual Indemnification; Global Public Relations; the IDF; the Arab Spring; the - uh - Israeli Secret Intelligence Service, if you will; and Pastor John Hagee. God gave the Jews the Holy Archangel Michael, Motherhood, Laughter, Hanukkah, a dubiously-certain Second Temple Period, Joyful Celebration, Klezmorim, the former American Colonies, the Catskills, the Lower East Side, Fairfax, Fred Silverman, and - perhaps to a lesser extent or else perhaps not - Ron Jeremy; oh, and Pastor John Hagee. God gave the Norse the Vikings; Saint Ansgar; ludfisk, lutefisk, lutfisk, lipeäkala, lovttaguolli, and kæstur hákarl, respectively; and the bulk of the American Midwest. God gave the Rus' Saint Vladimir, the Holy Orthodox Faith, icily deadly winters, Vodka, Kholodets, and New York. God gave the Serbs Saint Sava, Saint Prince Lazar, Saint Nicholas, the Cyrillic alphabet, Kosovo, the entire global Chetnik community, Rakija, the Kolo, Chicago, and arguably John Malkovich. God gave the Croats Saint Joseph the Betrothed, the Latin Alphabet, Rakija, and 2Cellos. God gave the Americans the Holy Virgin Mary, a specially-commissioned offshore national tax haven of the British Empire, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Philadelphia, Saint Herman of Alaska, Abraham Lincoln, the Civil War, Alaska, Hollywood, the OSS et al., Elvis, Rock 'n' Roll, Disneyland, JFK, the 1960s, Monday Night Football, the 1970s, Rob Reiner, Disco, the 1980s, Ronald Reagan, McDonald's, Bud Light, Spinal Tap, the 1990s, the Internet, Alphabet, YT, and the pursuit of happiness. + + + God Is Good. + + +

I am convinced that the only reason our kind, humanity, has yet to have been wiped off the face of the galaxy is due to the beautiful works of literature, music, and art that we produce. The only other explanation is that there is no other intelligent life besides humanity, and that is not a good explanation.

I just came across these Gents from a random popup when I searched Gabriel's Oboe the Mission - and they had a vid. I have gone through their stuff - and everything has been amazing, and then Ifound this. This video proves what I have always thought - that Music is the universal language and will end up being a language shared across the universe. Not a single word is spoken in their videos and there in not a need for words.

The sound of a cello is perfect and incredible, it sounds like it has a soul. I hear the sound of a cello playing and it instantly grabs hold of me by the feels and whisks me away on a smooth, easy breezy, wondefully emotional journey, like what I imagine it must like for a bird to be flying through the sky. The sound of cello can take you to new emotional heights you never knew you could feel and brings back feelings that you haven't experienced in a very long time, like an old friend returned to bring you back to life.
