FULL DISCLOSURE: I am familiar with the original version of this song by the original artist/band. However, I have never heard this cover, plus it's a live performance. Therefore I will not be reacting to, evaluating, or scoring the original song in any way. Saw them live at Radio City Music Hall in 2019. Fantastic show, great light show, crowd interaction was good. They brought the drummer out for the second half of the set and really started rocking. It was a lot of fun.

There were moments the cellos sounded like harmonicas, especially the shorter, more percussive passages. When playing extended notes, you could definitely hear the distortion might be excessive. It may be the mics they used or the distortion of the sound, but it had an interesting timbre. They could apply that to some blues songs to simulate a harmonica. Alisa Weilerstein is a classical cellist who is known for her animated performances. Not to the extent that these guys go, but she’s not your typical classical musician. She actually perspires as she plays and you don’t see that in classical performances.

I have total admiration for their playing skills and ability to put on a show. For a traditionally classical instrument they have bought their cellos to a rock audience and made a success for themselves, for the reasons you have stated. On a personal note, I am not so enamoured as you. Your score was almost shocking. I am not convinced I would pay to see them live as the headliners with a support act. Please remember, that is my view.
