I happened to be able to see them years ago in Portland, OR. It was a great/worst concert to go see. I had gotten turned on to these guys by a fellow metal head (Thunderstruck video) and thought they were amazing at delivering great rock in a classical style. Saw they were playing in Portland (about 4 hours away) and bought tickets. I guess in my head I figured the audience would consist of a lot of fans like me, slightly older rock guys who appreciated people taking those songs in a different direction. Since we arrived a few hours ahead of schedule we decided to visit an Irish pub and pregame before having to pay for $7 or $10 beers at the venue. Fair enough to say, by the time the concert started we had a decent buzz on. We walked in.... my buddy wearing a Volcom t-shirt, I think I had an In Flames t-shirt on, pretty drunk ready to party. Everyone else is in opera clothes. Full families with grandkids all in their Sunday bests. It was like expecting Metallica but getting Yanni instead. We were totally out of our element and had no choice but to just stay the course. So we rocked it. People were in tuxes while we were in ripped jeans and t-shirts in the second row (yeah, I bought good seats). 3 songs from the end, when I decided we needed to buy 2 beers every time we went to the beer garden area so we wouldn't have to go beers so quickly, we get back to our seats and I stumble while trying to rock a little harder to whatever they were playing. I ended up dumping a full beer down the backside of the 90 year old (at least) lady in front of me. She was in a beautiful dress she probably hadn't worn since the 60's and it was so loud all my profuse apologies probably weren't even able to hit her ears. I've never felt like such an asshole in all my life!
