Did ya notice how destroyed their bows were at the end? That's how much they rock out!!
@neoplan61164 жыл бұрын
They are using very soft strings, it is normal that they get scrambled in this way, saw them 2 times live here in Berlin and they had to change there bows several times.
@theghost64124 жыл бұрын
bows shred themselves since they are so soft. its a pain when they actually break a string on the cello itself. in middle of the concert one will usually play some classic piece to keep the crowd entertained while the other restrings his cello as quick as he can. They seem to have a race to see if the other can do it before the other finishes his song.

Must be a part of the world where electrical currents aren't alternating or direct but something else.
@5Seed4 жыл бұрын
it might be a aussie thing. I've heard it as Aca Daca only in NZ and Au.
@rwxstudio71734 жыл бұрын
@@5Seed My answer was more tongue-in-cheek but yours makes sense. So, when you plug something into an electrical outlet it uses alternating current but instead of AC it's pronounced Aca? I'm asking seriously as I would love to learn.
@5Seed4 жыл бұрын
@@rwxstudio7173 no. Aca Daca only refers to the band. Aussie is also the only place in the world were McDonalds changed their sign because everyone always called in Macca's. But Aussies particularly have a tenancy the make nicknames for everyday items, sometimes the slang is longer that just saying what you mean. Haha. Like 'were not here to f@#k spiders' means to not get distracted by pointless things, or if you have a mate that enjoys sex just a bit to much, instead of wh0re youd call them a root rat (root means sex). Haha
@5Seed4 жыл бұрын
@@rwxstudio7173 but no. AC and DC currents are still understood as that. AC/DC (Acca Dacca) is an aussie band so might explain why its pronounced differently. Bit of Aussie pride.

You have to laugh at the little girl in the second row in red. At the start she is bored out of her brains, once the song really kicks in she is jumping up and down in her seat to the song and getting told off by what must be her parents. By the end she is just blanky staring at them like everyone else as if to say what the hell was that at the end ROFL The ending kind of reminds me of Back To The Future after Marty finishes playing Johnny Be Good in front of the school dance. Everyone just staring blankly at him. "i suppose you folks are not ready for that yet, but your kids are gonna love it!"

On the subject of 2Cellos, PLEASE check out their rendition of "Smooth Criminal". (Although, if you haven't heard the original by Michael Jackson, you should maybe see it first.) But anyway, not only do they do an AMAZING job with it, but with the way they're dressed, and their haircuts in it and just... the ambiance, many MANY people have commented that they bring to mind Sam and Dean from "Supernatural". (And you've mentioned before that you've watched that show, so you might appreciate it for that aspect too.) Another great cello group to check out is Apocalyptica. I think my absolute favorite of theirs is their cover of "Fade to Black". (They made a point of covering a good deal of Metallica music.) That's a 4-cello group by the way.

Next Steve'n'Seagulls - Thunderstruck cover - it has over 87 m YT views, so guess they did something right. They're a pretty requested band to tour in the US nowadays. It's played with acoustic instruments. They play it kinda in bluegrass style - they're even dressed as hillbillies - though they are Finns. Well, we Finns have our hillbillies, though we call them more like 'woods folk' - there's more forests in Finland than mountains (1 o 2 in the North).

While I definitely agree you should react to more 2Cellos, if you feel like checking out some HEAVY Metal cello music I would warmly suggest Apocalyptica (originally a quartet of Cellos doing completely acoustic metal covers; later the band expanded with drums, other supporting instruments and featuring vocalists, but personally I prefer their earlier albums like Cult (2000), when they were just cellos); anyway if you are intrigued I would recommend their renditions of Inquisition symphony (Apocalyptica live 2005) and Hall of the mountain king and after that you can proceed from the suggestions you'll get on those reactions (most likely requests of their Metallica covers). Cheers!
