We needed to mount a discriminator valve on HONCHO, so this is some 2D design using Fusion 360 to be cut out on the Langmuir Systems CrossFire XR.
We Just returned from the Mint 400 and wanted to thank everyone for helping us exceed our $20K goal. We were able to raise $25K for our partners Folds of Honor...who are they? See what they are all about by going to our web page at www.ntdracing.com/
I have been using the Crossfire XR and Pro for two years now and have made a few videos about my experience...check them out at www.ntdracing.com/fab-shop. Use Code NTDRacing to get $100 off on your table.

Positive comment to appease the almighty algorithm. AND... I have a crossfire pro and I'm using the razor cut 45 (which by the way is working awesome since they fixed the circuit board mod that had been done incorrectly before delivery to me). I have learned a whole lot about F360 while watching your videos on how you use it. I appreciate that you have shared that.

I like your sophisticated metal brake (vise and hammer). My father in law would have applauded your efforts as he used a hammer for "everything." Once I helped him changing fuel filter in his 1973 GMC truck. You guessed it:at one point he needed a hammer.

If that doesn’t work…get a bigger hammer. Thanks for watching.

Love your videos. Curious why you made three pieces instead of merging the two base pieces together and then bending it like you did the top piece. I've seen you do this in a different video and was just curious what made you go this route this time.

Dave, I love your content. Have you ever cut 3/8ths plate with your razor weld 45?

Do you have a part number for the torch your using with the razorweld 45 and did you up the air pressure?

I use the machine torch that you get from Langmuir Systems when you order the XR and RW45 as a bundle. Works great. for Air pressure, I just send the full pressure of my compressor to the RW45. I am pretty sure that it has a regulator inside and so far has worked well on the two RW45's that I have owned. I usually run them at full power (45amps) and only change the cut speed to improve cut quality.

Hi Dave. What started out as a hobby, making Jeep JK tailgate check brackets, has quickly become overwhelming trying to keep up with the demand. The two brackets each have 2 parts (a base and a tab) that are welded together. I start by slicing a sheet into widths with a hand held plasma torch, stack the similar widths and use a cut off saw to cut to length, there are 8 holes that need to be drilled per bracket set, then all the corners are hand ground to a radius, weld them up, finish grind, and paint. A lot of manual work!! So, I'm looking at upgrading to a Langmuir Pro. A question for you is how small of a hole can I make and still have it somewhat clean (the holes I drill are 9/32" (.28125)), and how thin of a slot can I cut (I would like be able to make a 0.106, or 12 gauge slot to be able to index the tabs to make welding setup quicker)? Sorry for the long message, and thank you!

If you watch my video on making the GPS mount for HONCHO, that may be the smallest holes I have cut. I think they were .25 into AL. You may be able to go smaller, but I think a lot depends on torch, consumables, material and thickness. My experience so far is that holes get worse as the metal gets thicker, but for thin stuff, they come out really tight. As far as slots go…I do cut slots for some parts. You can see them in my videos about making the front suspension arms. After some trial and error, I did it easiest to cut a slot, even it is is slightly wider than the 11GA, but not put a “key” on the other part to fit into the slot. I just line them us and MiG weld through the slot and “grab” the end of the other part. That may not paint a good visual. My video may explain what I am doing better. Good luck.

@@ntdracing Thank you very much! My maternal is not very thick, and I could probably go slightly larger on the holes if need be. I like the idea of cutting a single line, if a key and slot don’t work. That alone will save me some time. Appreciate your help.

As you said in another reply, it’s too bad that you can’t upload pics in comments! So you can see what I’m making, here is a link to it www.ebay.com/itm/194858177432. I’ve made over 550 of them, all by hand! Time to seriously think about a Langmuir Crossfire Pro.
