Hey all and welcome back to another start to finish ZBrush sculpting video! In this video I am going to take you through my entire character creation process, showing you every step along the way. This time around I am working on a female cervitaur which is like a centaur but instead of the lower half being a horse - she is half deer! A huge thank you to Yuriy Chemezov for the awesome concept of Enchantress from Dota, definitely check out his work! www.artstation.com/artwork/Jl.... If you have any ideas for a character you would like to see me sculpt in the future, comment below! I love hearing from you guys and I am always looking for new ideas to sculpt.

It's so cool to actually learn more about this instead of just watching a speedsculpt like I see most of the time. This still looks a lot of fun, though. It'd be a pain for me to learn everything but someday, I will. And someday I will be more eager to learn too. Every little detail with her face and stuff though, like wow! 0_0 now I realize why so many people in those early CGI movies and shows looked so ugly. (you know, like back at the barnyard and stuff). I always thought it's because the humans in those shows/movies weren't important enough and they wanted people to focus on the animals, but now I realize that 3D characters are hard to sculpt in any program.

This looks great! I've never seen anyone do this, but this just popped up into my recommendations. Just one thing that I noticed as someone with long hair; if you gather all your hair into a low ponytail, your hair won't show a middle part all the way to the back. It will be parted in the front and top of your head, but at the back all your hair will start to 'point' towards the base of the ponytail. (Not that a minor thing like that really matters, but like you said, there will always be things that can be improved in a model. So I thought I'd point it out for when you want to make another character with a ponytail.)
@k0ncursus
@k0ncursus 4 жыл бұрын
bro. Hair isn't parted all the way back unless it's divided into sections, it approximately goes to the crown. It's still a fantastic piece

First off this is an amazing sculpture!! I thoroughly enjoyed watching your process. I’m an art major who’s struggling trying to find my place in the art world. I recently took a 3D computer graphics college course. We used Maya. It blew me away! It opened a whole new world for me and it was so exciting getting to learn this new way of creating digital art as I usually create art with pencil and paper. After taking that class and now watching you sculpt beautifully, it made me realize that digital sculpting is something I really want to pursue!! Thank you for the inspiration!

First of all: Thank you. Started sculpting about 2 years ago and with the help of your and Shane Olsons free stuff (looking forward to get into some paid stuff next year, when my college is finished), I landed a small gig. And yes, its so true, that you always want to nitpick. I worked a week on a sculpt (next to my normal work) and after working the weekend through and was very happy, I came back and was like "wtf". So many stuff was out of place, so many weird angles. Sometimes you just need to take a step back and look what youve done...and like you said, even finished models have something to improve.

You have WAY to little subscibers! The depth of your explenation was just amazing, you talk in a way that's pleasant to listen to and it was just a very fun and very informative video! I wish you all the best of luck.

Hey dude I’m new to your channel and I watched all the way through! Although I’m not exactly into 3D sculpting this was an amazing video! Keep up the spectacular work.

Enchanted, I'm sure. (Great video, loved seeing that. I'm sculpting some characters myself, now I feel inspired to do my eyelashes and eyebrows in this kinda way, as separate objects. :) )
