Thanks for this video, I have this problem with a 2DS I've bought on eBay. The battery is fine and I've cleaned the contacts, but it's still not working. I checked all the ribbon cables too with no luck. If its screen damage that needs replacing, which ribbon cable do you think is the problem? Is this usually caused my a specific cable?

JuiceQuackFox I found the fix for it you have to let it charge for 10 mins then take out the sd card push the power button 3 times put the sd card back in push the power button a few times and it will work just don’t put it on sleep mode

Hi I'm not sure if you still are active on your channel, but I just found and watched this video. I appreciate your explanation, very easy to understand and follow along. I do have a question, incase you do see or get the messages still! My sons 2DS all of a sudden is having an issue charging. I thought maybe the outlet I used was a dud (🤷‍♀️!) So I plugged it in somewhere else. The orange light turned on so I was like cool, when it goes to the blue light u can turn it on and play with it still charging. Then looked and the light was off. Switched spots on the surge protector. Same thing, the orange light turns on, 30 seconds later turns off. So I checked the DS charging port and I think looks normal, same with the charger part. I blew some air in it, same, tried seeing if a loose connection, nope totally secure and tight. I've never actually commented on a KZbin video before, but where you said it's ok to ask you a question I figured what the heck! Thank you very much for your time, I do really appreciate it. You need to get in the 2DS and make sure the ribbon cables are fit. P.S. Be very careful they can be broken easily.

Pulled the back off...the cables look good. I took them apart and back just to check...still only blue light. Could it still be a battery problem if the blue light comes on??

Well i would say if the light turns on then off. i would try cleaning the battery. Then if still no luck replace it.

I was playing Pokemon HeartGold on my 2DS and my game died suddenly (like, from blue light to red light to flashing red to off in less than 10 seconds). After plugging in to charge, it worked fine, with one exception: if I try to open any DS/DSi cartridge games OR run any downloaded DSiWare games, the screen flicks on for a second before immediately giving the "In Sleep Mode, the system can..." screen. This happened before, but it seemed to fix itself the first time. What happened?

Hi, i have been experiencing a problem with my 2ds, when i'm playing my pokemon UM game it kicks me out with the message "an error has occurred, forcing the software to close. And I thought I was charging it too much because when I remembered to look at the battery it was still full, so I have been trying to waste it. The only problem is when I play a game (Pokemon Ultra Moon) the light next to the power button is blue and then it suddenly turns red and then it turns off even at full battery. I don't know what to do and my 2ds has been like this for a while. And the time it turns off is also different one time it was 20 mintues, then five and so on. But never more than twenty. I can only prevent that from happening by putting it on sleep mode every time it's about to turn off but I've been having to do it alot more often now and I'm afraid that I might be breaking it so please help me fix it. I don't know how long it's been like this but it has been awhile and I just want to fix it, please help. I forgot to mention that it changes back to blue when I put it sleep mode and my system does let me play the game but only until the light turns red than I have to switch it to sleep mode so I'm starting to wonder what is the problem and is it fixable?
