the 2ds xl is the best one ever, its basically another 2ds but this one can actually fold, which is my favorite part, and it can play all type of ds games, from ds to 3ds to new 3ds. it's still safer for visiblity and still cheaper, not as cheap as the first 2ds but still cheaper than the 3ds xl

I would say the 3ds is more durable. since the system can close and the buttons, and screen are protected, I've had mine for 3 years and dropped it alot, and it's still working great, but my cousin has a 2ds and he dropped it and the screen cracked.

well i can confirm after dropping my 3ds on concrete so many times, the only thing that happened were scuff marks and scratches. the 3DS is pretty durable too, there are only more alternatives to breaking it which would require something someone shouldn't do anyway, (bending the hinges beyond its limits) That's probably why (No offense to anyone who has a 2DS) the 2DS is more inclined for younger children because theres nothing to play with besides the system

I heavily disagree, with one good drop on the screen the can shatter. The 3ds on the other hand can survive a lot of drops, and I know this from experience for I was a dumb kid and I had a 3ds, I dropping it many times and it didn't break.
