How did this Adam's interview go out so quietly? Adam just announced they're finishing a new record right now.

My interpretation of his comment was that there's an album ready to be finished and it would take a month to six weeks to wrap up once they decide to push that button, not necessarily that we're six weeks out from a new album. Also... Bono & Edge thought How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb was good to go in Nov 2003; it was released a full year later. No Line On The Horizon was due to be sent out in Nov 2008; it was released at the end of Feb 2009. They initially thought they could finish up SOI sometime in 2010, and Paul McGuinness said in Apr 2010 that a release by the end of the year was "increasingly likely"; we waited until Sep 2014 to hear it. SOE was basically good to go for late 2016; with everything that happened in late 2016, they decided to basically redo it and released it the first day of Dec 2017. See a pattern?

@@TheBaseballGuy9 i dont thin the band releases albums tofit a pattern, they release it whenver they feel is the right time..any pattern is just coincidence . ...plus as both adam and edge havr mentioned the band have been hard at ot over the last 5 years, so they are deserving of some time off...

@@habibhussain825 I agree - the "pattern" I was suggesting was that any talk about an album being done or close to it isn't always reliable, since they take the time to get things just right. And I do agree that they're deserving of time off. To be honest, I'm surprised they're already at a point where they have an album that could be finished in 4 to 6 weeks if they wanted to. I thought they would take a bit more of a rest after E+I and JT19.

@@Horizon344 it was a lazy re release...95% of the material freely available on this very channel.. Though i hope the ab30 set next year is comprehensive with lots of multimedia content..id love for the band to release all of the tour visuals from zoo tv to jt 2019....
