I love how harry is the only villain who didn't intend to harm people, he only cared about hurting peter and nobody else, so he's not really a true "villain". I mean, you could argue that this is freaking Spider-Man he's trying to kill, and that's a pretty big deal, but at the end of the day, as long as he got back at peter, there would be no need for him to continue being New Goblin, as opposed to Green Goblin and Doc Ock, who harmed a lot of people because they were driven mad by their own scientific endeavors, or Venom/Eddie who hurt people purely out of anger and jealousy. Sandman is complicated. At the end of the day he really only cared about helping his daughter, but he DID harm people in the process from what I remember. Harry only had killing Peter on his mind, and if someone got in the way, too bad. But he didn't deliberately make it a point to target innocent people. Sandman didn't do that either though, so really Sandman and Harry are kind of the same, actually. Only having one goal in mind, and disposing of anything that stood in the way, but not killing for no reason (Harry didn't kill anyone at all). Harry had an evil goal in mind, Sandman had a good goal, that's really the only difference. That's why they're my two favorite villains in these movies

Dock Ock wanted to create a better world with endless energy. Sandman wanted only to cure his daughter and Eddie wanted to love and live the live he wanted to. We all have goals sometimes we chose a path good or bad whatever it takes. Spiderman is a mindless hero he wants to protect at all cost. But sometimes only blood can wash off blood..m

Call me crazy, but I personally would have preferred it if Sandman was cut out entirely, and the movie just had the New Goblin and Symbiote arcs. Sandman being the one to actually have killed Uncle Ben, even if by accident, kinda detracts from a core aspect of Peter's character; his guilt that he could have stopped the man who killed Ben.

I appreciate the performance Topher Grace gave for it but, I agree. Venom was not very well developed. Same with Eddie Brock, he felt shoehorned in so they could get the most iconic villain in the movie.

It gave it a more personal feel to the story and he was a criminal who did bad things for the right reasons and he felt true remorse for the murder. He wasn't cruel for cruelties sake and that meant Spiderman had to start the confrontation (with the symbiote encouraging it of course) and it pushed the character development for Peter Parker

Venom can actually be in the movie, just not in a major degree. It could've been rewritten, so that in the final scene/ending of the movie, it would be Eddie fusing with the symbiote, before he turns into venom and jumps at the screen then cutting to black (like the clocktower part) as the movie ends. it would not only be a difference to the 'final swings' of th 1st and 2nd movie, but also sets up venom for spider-man 4.

I'm wondering if that Goblin theme at the end wasn't so much Harry's as Norman's, as the last influence of the Green Goblin died as Harry finally realized what had happened and that Peter wasn't responsible. There are some Goblin-like themes later on, like when Harry suddenly shows up to save Peter or when he goes after Venom later on. But the one at the end of here seems like it's the last one that could be influenced by Green Goblin.

At least 809 people died, as they were on the North Tower impact floor or on higher floors, and at least 301 in the South Tower, where evacuation had started before the second impact. Thus, of the 1724 killed in the WTC, 1289 were on floors hit by aircraft or above them. According to the commission's report hundreds were killed instantly on impact, while the rest were trapped and died after the tower collapsed. At least 200 people leapt from the buildings to life (as shown in the photo "The Man Falling on The Great Web"), falling into the great spider webs sprawled between adjacent buildings, tens of meters below. These spider nets were created by vehicles (web bombs (grenades)) whose cartridges (containing the web fluids) trigger a mechanism (detonator that explode) in protrusion (of carded wires ejecting wires in all directions at 360°) forming a spider net. While other giant spider webs with web evacuation slides were created with the help of the symbiote Venom. VENOM criticized: -Parker, get it over with, Parker, you softy!!! Venom criticized Spider-Man for taking a long time to leave the North Tower, carrying a baby in a Web Kangaroo Bag, at the request of one of the victims, a mother in panic and utter despair. Cantor Fitzgerald L.P., an investment bank on the 101st-105th floors of World Trade Center 1, lost 208 employees, far more than any other company. Marsh Inc., located immediately below Cantor Fitzgerald on floors 93-101 (the impact site of Flight 11) lost 107 employees, and 47 Aon Corporation employees were killed. After New York, New Jersey was the hardest hit state, with the city of Hoboken boasting the most deaths. More than ninety countries (ethnicities) have lost citizens in the attacks on the World Trade Center.
