I do too, especially the winter trip when she hadn’t seen them in so long. I don’t know about you, but for me it’s partly a mom thing, being away from my daughter, and partly a daughter thing missing my mom who died about 9 years ago now. I get hit from both sides.

It's so weird to me that before the pandemic it was considered weird/OCD to totally wipe down your airplane seats. After getting sick a few consecutive times after traveling, I started wiping everything down too and never stopped. So glad you guys were able to make all your flights! I can't imagine how excited you were Sarah to finally touch down in Halifax. Really happy you guys finally got to go back this summer. Hope you are enjoying your time and have an amazing trip.

@@QueenJaneway I watched a white American walk into the airplane bathroom barefoot. When he left I noticed the floor of the bathroom had pee spray. People are gross. My dorm mates on my floor, at least 5 of them, after a dump would walk straight out without washing their hands. I'm no hypochondriac, but some people don't understand simple social hygiene.

I'm glad you finally made it! International travel is always a pain in the ass lol! I remember going to Australia once and my flight from LA to Sydney was like 20 minutes after my flight from Baltimore landed in LA. I was traveling alone for the first time and I *RAN* across that dang airport lol! They kindly held the plane bc I wasn't the only one but that was so stressful! It's so interesting seeing you guys like "omg the BIRDS!" because I guess I just take it for granted? I am the crazy bird lady in my area, I have 4 feeders and bird baths and leave peanuts for the crows, lol. My house is a bird party! 😂🤣 I never really considered that in the city you probably don't have the constant chatter of birds. Wild! You guys make me miss the water too. I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and now in PA we're pretty land locked so I miss the water often. Enjoy the weather, I hope it's not as hot and humid here as it is here!

wow it feels like only a month or so ago we was watching winter in Canada! those tags look so handy! TIP! incase anyone is asked to check hand luggage - prepare a tote bag inside your carry on with some essentials that you can quickly take out before they take it away! and dont forget a spare lock! cant wait to see the rest of your summer adventures!

So glad you were able to go to Canada for the summer. My kids and I were just there early July for 3 weeks after not being able to visit for 5 years. It really made me miss my hometown and family so much. Since you guys are in Canada, have you considered doing a road trip through the east coast provinces? Welcome back to the Canadian soil! Canada is best in summer time. By the way, that black colour on your wet naps is just colour that comes off from the head rest. Not saying they are clean and I myself do wipe everything down as soon as I board on a plane too, call me a clean freak! But regardless how many times you wipe it down, you will see those “dirt” because it’s the colour that comes off ☺️ I also make sure I have a hat/hood with me in case I don’t have wipes just so my head doesn’t have to touch that head rest. I also never use plane blankets, I have friends who work in the industry and telling me all these things airlines do (or don’t do). I know you get what I mean haha…. Enjoy your time with your family!

It seems like Halifax is a very livable and drivable city. So close to the coastline and more rural areas. Outside of a few major cities, Canada is pretty chill and the people are really friendly for the most part.

It looks so beautiful and peaceful there! With it being a peninsula, do you guys ever get high temps there or does it stay pretty cooled? I’m in the PNW and more inland. This summer we’ve been in a heat wave all week. Luckily it’s not miserable at home since I’ve got central AC installed this year. The AirTags in the luggage is genius by the way.
