I will graduate in the month of july 2023 (approx) , So if i will give Cat 2023 and other exams like XAT, SNAP ,NMAT and TISS which are Held in next year like 2024 or almost at the end of the 2023 . Will that be considered as a gap year?

I will graduate these year 2023 ,and I want to prepare for full time for cat and other entrance exam but I try watch out videos to fill the gap year than after watching than I understand importance of job to fill the cap.but sir doing the can effects the preparation and also if I do the job I selected for interview conducted in Jan and Feb, so the work ex of me is hardly 5 to 6 month, so they can not give me work exmark because they criteria greater than 6 month or greater than 12 month what would be the benefit sir we can get marks if get hardly 1or 2 . Hey Vaibhav, Yes as you said 1 or 2 years of work experience is was the top B-Schools Except from the students, so either you can go to work for 1 or 2 years & side by side you can prepare for exam, But at the same time in all the top B-Schools every year 30+ percentage of students are freshers, so its up to you to decide what you want to do. The Best choice is to gain some work experience before joining a B-School.

Hey Ganesh, Keep trying, try out on sites like linkedin etc. The goal is keep trying for a job - incase you can't find one despite your best efforts, you can state the same in the interview. Hope this helps. Best Wishes!

If you have cleared csat in these 5 years tell the panel..upsc students are never eyed down ....but you should be able to justify..dont lie when it comes to govt exams be truthful because you never know panel can also ask for the proof ki list me naam dikhao you cleared...chahe wo check bhi na kre magar wo asani se pakad lenge jhoot ko...dont worry upsc students ko problem nhi aati

You need to wait till the official XAT Results are out & you can check the minimum admission cut off in the respective college websites.

Hi Simran. Launching your own business is definitely a justified reason and it won't even be considered a gap. What you need to evaluate is whether you were involved in it, full time and across the entire two years. The answer will need to be framed accordingly. If you decide to appear for CAT or other exams, please ensure to get a job or continue working on your business so that the gap doesn't increase. All the best!

And i go for the job as well after my graduation in the month of June or July , then will I be able to focus on my Cat and other Entrance Exam with that Hectic schedule or not . And do you think any Company will offer me the job for that short duration of 5 to 6 months or less than that and will provide me leave(preparatory) for my exams in the early stages of the job and training process.

There is no harm in mentioning it. Selection panels are used to students who take gap years for UPSC.

Brother 1 year extra to complete your degree you can face problem makeup a strong story... generally colleges doesn't care about backlogs if they are cleared within the time frame of the degree..and after you get into a college perform well because it might be difficult for you to get placed not impossible though...

Yes you have a good chance of Converting it, But you need to Perform well in the PI Round also because it has a higher weightage than your academics.
