I remember shortly after I first discovered this EP, I had gotten in a fight with my mom and drove off in my car to get away. It was the middle of summer and I was wearing jeans and a fleece shirt not knowing I would be leaving the house so fast and wouldn’t have time to change. I ended up in the parking lot of a park that had a bike trail going through it. I realized I had nowhere to go. No real friends. No one. I turned off my car and sat there in a checkmate. I watched people going about their day in the park. Some were biking, some were with their kids, one lady sat alone reading. It was hot. In the 90s. I sat there for a while and decided to click on this video. It played quietly through my phone. Beads of sweat began rolling down my face. My car was turning into an oven. I was so tired, and the fleece shirt I was wearing was getting soaked. The beads of sweat began to cascade down my face thicker and faster. After a few more minutes I was drenched. And exhausted. I wanted to fall asleep. The soft notes of this continued playing through my phone. I considered just letting myself fall asleep. I knew if I did that, I may have not woken up. I could have just ended it right there. Fallen asleep and cooked to death in my car. I had nowhere I could go. But I pulled my arm up to turn the key in the ignition and returned to an empty home. I peeled off my clothes and laid in a wet, depressed puddle on my bed, red as a beet before I went to work about 30 minutes later. Thanks for attending my TED talk.

i live about 30 minutes from that farm ground, it's just a tree and a little symbolic grave now with a plate telling the story. it's surrounded by bigger, modern farm grounds, forest and some cows. really really small bavarian villages spread around the area, even with cars being around now it feels incredibly remote.

@Waxel Punkt. We pretty much are sure who the Zodiac killer is, just that the guy had an heart attack and so was never convicted.

@Waxel Punkt. I don't think he ever really did get recognized. Actually I'm not up to date on this, so I'll let you do your own research, but last time I read on the subject, it was pretty clear that Arthur Leigh Allen was the (or one of) the killers. Except we'll never have full closure due to lack of compelling evidence. But it's definitely not like the Hinterkaifeck murders, for which we have no leads whatsoever. The Hinterkaifeck murders might as well be done by a ghost, and I think that's why Dan chose them as a backround. Like with the maid quitting after hearing stuff in the attic.
