Actually there's a lot of hope within his paintings, the light in particular is very likely to symbolize God Himself; and HANL music's pretty out of that stuff. But as Merisi in his art shows even the dirt of life for depicting such hope also, it ain't very hard to just stop there and miss it. Therefore such works as David with the Head of Goliath (both from 1600/1601 and 1609/1610), Judith Beheading Holofernes (the Rome version and the one found in 2014), Saint Jerome or The Beheading of St. John the Baptist can have their darkness and light easily separated - look, even in this HANL 2006-2014 demos cover there's only Abraham with his son shown, with no angel, no lamb. So Caravaggio's ouvre wouldn't fit Have a Nice Life as it is, because it'd have to be deprived of its essential part, which is divinity and Christ; Merisi without this is not Merisi, and his art is not his art, but rather its fragment, showing not equilibrium, but darkness itself. And he had to paint the misery, because it's a part of reality - as is divinity, similarly. Now HANL leans more towards darkness and less towards divinity, therefore the full Caravaggio would not find the same fit in it as the cut one.
